"Great place to stay, excellent customer service. Staff very helpful and friendly, very good breakfast included. Used to stay in a well know Inn but prices kept going up and parking got expensive. Wished we had known about this place before, ideal for our trips to London, thanks to everyone working there."

"Best location for hotel in Southend. Overall an excellent hotel , especially the family room is very good. The receptionist stored our baggage so we can go out and wonder about as we got there before the 3pm Check-in time. Also at check out time 12pm they stored our luggage in hotel so we can pick up later which was kind of them."

"The hotel is in a nice location but the conditions and services would need to tmprove. There should be air-conditioning and there should be a refrigerator in the room. Dining wise, they could improve efficiency by getting guests to get their own utensils and bringing used plates back to central location which is the practice in many hotels in their restaurants. Breakfast time should be consistent everyday and not change on weekends which cause confusion. Many restaurants provide coffee especially when they are open late for breakfast. "

"Beautiful hotel with loads of character and great staff service. I only wish our room had air conditioning as it was hot for a sleep. Bar staff were excellent and breakfast was lovely. We will be using Marygreen hotel again when back in Brentwood. "
