This is an unfair review. It is inaccurate. Unfortunately, this review was authored by someone who broke the agreed upon rules of the house. She tried to sneak her two dogs into the house without paying the required additional security deposit. She lied beforehand when she told me she was not bringing any pets. Her two dogs were discovered by the pool man when he came to check the pool at her request. The house has never been "bombed." There have never been previous complaints of any bugs in the house before this renter or since this renter. After she complained about seeing “millions of ants everywhere inside the house, “I immediately hired an exterminator to spray under the house, which is elevated off the ground on pilings, but she turned them away. The house is about a half mile away from the highly rated Hamptons county park, Cupsogue Beach. It has lifeguards, live music, and food. This was fully disclosed in the rental listing. We tried to meet her on her first day to introduce her to the house. She would not make herself available. I came to the house to try to help her because she had concerns about a low hot water supply in the bathrooms. She was demanding that someone come to fix the problem. I came immediately. It turned out that she and her guests were taking simultaneous showers while running the dishwasher. She also had not tried all the knobs on the bathroom sinks to find the hot water knob. The hot water heaters are 2 years old. They do not have infinite capacity, but they are the standard size. We all tried very hard to meet her expectations. She should not have broken the house rules. I offered her a prorated refund if she wanted to leave. I offered to allow her to stay if she paid the required pet deposit for her two dogs. She decided to pay the pet security deposit.
