Over all the property was very clean and we had what we needed. The beds were very soft so if you like a firm bed you might have a problem. The walk way to the lake is the steepest we've encountered renting houses on the lake, not recommended for older people or people that have trouble walking.

Beautiful property

This property was a very nice place to stay at. The inside of the house was beautiful. Its definitely an older place and i think thats what gives this place so much character. Basically everything you need is in the house. Bring toiletries and paper towels. There are a few negatives. It really needs to be reiterated how steep the walk down to the dock is. No one in my group had to much of an issue with it but, it is STEEP! Also the only other thing is that the outside of the home could definitely use some TLC. The yard was over grown, the siding and deck could use pressure washing, gutters were overflowing with leaves and twigs. Deck also needs some love and repairs. All in all. I would highly recommend this place as long as you dont have someone in your group that has a hard time with stairs or steep inclines. The propert contact was good about responding and was willing to let us check in a bit earlier and even check out a bit later. The dock is absolutely beautiful. I have a 2023 23' Seadoo Switch pontoon boat and it fit in there perfectly. There are a few boat ramps close to the property that were easily accessible and about 10-15 minute boat ride back to the house. Again, all in all, id recommend this place and would love to come back again.

Not as advertised

Our daughter was graduating from Clemson and we needed a place where several family members could stay. We found this listing and it seemed like it checked all of the boxes for us. After we made the reservation, we found out that we were dealing with a management company and not the owner. We previously not had good luck when the owner is not directly involved. When we first arrived at the house, we set our stuff down and started to explore. It looked like we were the first people to stay in the house since last fall, and the grounds had not been cleaned up at all. There were piles of leaves everywhere, including still on the roof. The back porch had not been cleaned at all. There were several candy bar wrappers underneath furniture as well as debris that had blown in over the winter. There was a cooler sitting on a table that was full of dirty rainwater, apparently from a roof leak.We brought it to the attention of our contact at the management company and were told that they would check with the person who cleaned and try to get someone out there. Nobody ever came to clean. The next day I mentioned that we found mouse poop in the kitchen. It had not been there the day before, because some of it was on the dish towel lying beside the sink. I was told that the owners would be contacted and someone would get back to me - which again never happened. The person I was working with didn’t have a chance because they worked really late the night before - not my problem.
