Luxurious B&B with a historic touch. We had it all to ourselves and we enjoyed the feeling of being gentry in this Mansion. Jackie and Charlie were great and very warm hosts, we felt welcome and could relax with all the amenities that are available.

This is an historic house where the owner rents out individual rooms. We happen to be the only ones, so had the full house to ourselves. It’s very quiet and clean. It’s an amazing place, with access to their fully stocked kitchen including laundry. They provide the food for breakfast. It was great stay.

This place is fantastic, The overall experience of staying here was incredible. Gorgeous home with unique decor. Friendly staff that were always helpful and accommodating. Best place we stayed at in all of New Zealand.

Loved the Archer House. Beautiful design, lovely gardens. Enjoyed breakfast and entire property was charming. Would help to. Latifa checkin time with property ahead of time because they were not on site between 2-7( we could not reach manager for checkin for 20 min.

Lovely hosts, who give you the feeling of being home for the time of your stay. It is a very nice house with a beautiful garden, the hosts provide anything you need. Different colored rooms give make this property very special. Thank you for having us.

Loved it

The caretakers were lovely. The house was absolutely amazing. We felt right at home. Having access to laundry was really important to us and everything was there and easy to use. I highly recommend this home. The art and stained glass was a wonderful treat.

Such a delightful property. Very helpful owner and managers who spent time familiarising us with the historical home and various tourist attractions. The bedroom was very large with lovely antique furniture, a comfortable bed and a nicely fitted out ensuite. We had access to the kitchen/ dining room and lounge rooms which were all well furnished and very comfortable and relaxing. Lovely garden to appreciate. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. The house is centered in town and an easy walk to the Main Street.

We were scheduled to spend one night. Weather stranded us in Westport for an extra two nights as all roads to the east side of the South Island were closed. Charles, Jackie and Fran treated us like family making us feel at home. It was a memorable stay in a very nicely restored house of a bygone era with an impressive collection of art and artifacts.

Simply amazing!

This place was simply amazing! Beautifully maintained, finely furnished, with modern bathrooms and kitchen. This was one of 8 stays on our trip through NZ and by far the most lavish. I wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy the home and the hospitality of the hosts.

Archer a House is a historic property, which has a lovely homely feel, combined with a state of the art contemporary kitchen. Facilities are second to none, great breakfast, and hosts extremely helpful for local knowledge, places to visit and onwards journey information. Fabulous gem of a property.
