Bear Den Log Cabin

Our fully furnished cabins are ready for you to enjoy. We are located inside the beautiful Hiawatha National Forest. There is something for all of the outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. Bring your food and sense of adventure and let us take care of the rest.
We are surrounded by all kinds of outdoor recreational opportunities that the Upper Peninsula has to offer. Snowmobilers/ATV's have direct access to the best snowmobile/ATV trails in the Midwest. The Buckhorn Resort is approximately eight miles away and they offer family dining and a lounge that is open daily. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore offers some of the most amazing hiking trails in the country and they are located just minutes away. You will also find numerous waterfalls in the Munising area. Blueberries are plentiful when in season on the property and surrounding area. A property manger is on-site in the office to answer any questions or be of assistance during your stay.

Great location, perfect little cabin!

A beautiful little cabin with all the nice to haves- close to pictured rocks and right in the heart of the national forest. Perfect spot for home base for hiking and other outdoor fun. We loved sitting on the porches and enjoying the fire pit, would absolutely return!

This cabin is perfect for a getaway. There is plenty of space, is comfortable, and there is lots to do nearby. The hosts were very gracious as well.

This is the cutest little cabin. Perfect for a weekend getaway to the UP and Pictured Rocks. The property was clean and cozy. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!

This property was remote, yet an easy and quick 12 minute commute from Munising and attractions. The cabin was spotless and decorated so creative with a bear theme throughout. The owners were so friendly and helpful - and gave terrific suggestions for dining options, etc. If in the area, we would definitely stay at this location again!

Perfect retreat

Our family stayed here while exploring the Pictured Rocks area and we loved it! The location was perfect-close to downtown Munising, but peaceful and tucked away from the busyness. The cabin was very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Host was extremely responsive and helpful when we had questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely come back again!

Winter Getaway

Great location. We had a great time. The cabin was wonderful. The property was great for exploring. Archer our Siberian Husky, loved running and exploring while we snowshoed. Absolutely beautiful outside! Thank you!

Great UP cabin

We had a great stay with our family of 5. Cabin was clean and owner was very responsive. Cabin is a bit out of town but was close to trails. Cabin sits on a few acres of property that has a trail on it that can be walked. Very peaceful area.

Quiet Cabin

This is our second time staying Bear Den Log Cabin and it was just as nice the second time. The cabin is decorated very cute and is cozy. Very close to Munising and Hiawatha National Park. The communication was excellent and the host is very accommodating. We will definitely stay again another time!

Didn’t want to leave!

We really enjoyed our stay in the log cabin. Remote “in the woods” feel without being too isolated due to 2 other rentals and manager nearby. Just the right distance from Munising for us. We did the Pictured Rocks sunset cruise and really liked the beach near the Park Ranger Headquarters. Also enjoyed a day in Marquette with a great beach near the lighthouse. Cabin had everything we needed.

Holiday Get Away

Loved this beautiful, cozy log cabin in the woods. It was very clean and filled with everything we needed and more. The decorations were so welcoming that it felt like home. We enjoyed the acreage for letting our dog run and explore. Location was great for waterfalls, light houses and beauty of Lake Superior. Would highly recommend.

Cozy Stay Close to Munising

Everything was just as described and more! Bear Den was located just a few short miles from Munising in a secluded location. The cabin was well furnished and very clean. It was perfect for a fall get away! During warmer days there was a cute setting in the back yard for campfires and games. Ryan was great to work with and very accomodating!

The Perfect Cabin Getaway

This was the perfect stay for an autumn getaway. Earlier this year, our family had a not so great experience with an out of country apartment we booked which left us a little nervous to book one in the future. But our nerves quickly subsided as the host communicated well and was super nice and friendly when we had an issue during our stay. As a national park lover, it was a big plus that this cabin was only 20 minutes from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Would stay here again if we’re ever back in the UP!

The Bear Den Cabin

This was our second time staying at this property. We absolutely love this cabin! It is so clean, cozy and quiet! We plan on booking this property again for our future hiking trips. It is out in the country yet close to Munising and Pictured Rock National Lake Shore. for anything you might need or want to do. Such a nice relaxing week. We did not want to leave. Highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space for our family, and it was so clean and well kept. It is obvious that a lot of care is put into maintaining this cabin. We loved the location and the quiet wooded setting. We would return here and stay every summer if we could!

Loved this property! My husband and I stayed here to elope by the falls. Was expecting it to be a bit more private but It was clean cozy and friendly. We loved being able to bring our dogs as well. The property manager is super friendly and helpful if you need anything. It’s truly accommodating and a great location for lots of exploration in the UP. highly suggest this place!
