"Booked a seaview room but initially given a loft. After complaining was upgraded to a lovely room. 2 friends were given complimentary dinner as no other rooms available "

"The room was beautiful and clean. The view of the ocean was stunning. We did not partake in breakfast so I cannot comment. The staff was pleasant but not prominent. We felt like it was more of an air bnb as opposed to a hotel. Very quiet after nightfall. Had good sleeps. Walk into town was about 7 minutes along the ocean walkway. Beautiful. Our main complaint was no labels on the wonderful lighting switches. You have spent a lot of money on beautiful lighting, it would be nice to let the guests know what turns what on! Thanks for the lovely stay. "

"Outstanding welcome from the owners. Fabulous location for the Cliff walk which was absolutely stunning. Little touches that made our stay special. Breakfast was amazing and the porridge was delicious! Off road safe parking👍 Our room was beautiful overlooking the mountains with a large veranda. More like a 5 star suite. Gorgeous room scents! Cant recommend highly enough. We loved Hermanus & the Whale on Main❤️ "

"Carin and her husband and the rest of the staff at Oude schuur guesthouse were amazingly friendly and accommodating. They helped with getting us a car rental and made some excellent suggestions for dinner in the area. The breakfasts were delicious and fresh, the room was spotless with daily housekeeping. We would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the Hermanus area. The mountain views from our terrace were spectacular as well. Be sure to book several nights, because you won’t want to leave. We arrived as guests and left as friends."
