First, the positives: good location with restaurants, grocery store and plenty of interesting shops and ski lift within walking distance. Aspens staff were helpful, if a bit far removed. Good parking and good room space and layout
The downsides: the master bedroom bed is are pretty uncomfortable, and the sofa bed is torturously thin—-you will feel every bar supporting it in your back. The WiFi is horribly slow, almost non existent maybe even slower than your phone signal with only two bars.
The hot water will run out on you if you have more than two people using it, which is painful after a day on the cold slopes for a family of 4. Forget about the bath tub and jacuzzi jets—-unless you like cold water therapy. There’s just not enough hot water. And to be clear, there is not hot tub on-site for this property.
We spent our final morning mopping up the dirty water that was leaking out from the pipes under the sink.
We’ve stayed in Whistler and Blackcomb nearly 15 times over the years and have always really enjoyed the experience and excellent lodging. This location was a first for us however, and despite it having great potential, it fell far short of that in reality. I could not recommend it for the price.
