Great place

We had a family wedding in White River and we all stayed at Greenway Woods. The place could do with a revamp, it’s not bad just a little tired. The staff were very friendly and did a great job. All the facilities are closed no sure what the reason for that is.

The place was so amazing,the rooms were clean. .not to talk about the nature outside..green and beautiful,swimming pool was lovely also...i would recommend people to visit Greenway woods resort

Mphumalanga stay over.

After our visit to the Kruger National Park we wanted to stay in Mphumalanga for a few days to take in the sites, I booked 2 rooms and requested adjoining, ground floor rooms. We got 2 rooms which were some distance apart. The one 3 sleeper room was also a first floor unit. This accommodation offers self catering with braai facilities at each room. No grids or coal trays were supplied and initially we were told we could not braai at our rooms. After unpacking I realised the distance apart was going to complicate our stay. After discussions with reception they were able to give me an adjoining room, something they were not able to do when we checked in 1 hour earlier. Overall it was pleasant staying there, once issues had been resolved.

At arrival they couldn’t find our booking in the system. At least they had rooms available. But it took some frustration snd created a bad start. Good food but strange that you couldn’t put it on your room. The staff in the bar/ resturant was very survive minded.

It is a lovely setting but the rooms are pretty shabby and not the cleanest, the beds for instance are difficult to get out! i believe the owners are just milking the location and not investing in the resort.

When we arrived they had no record of our booking until I phoned my husband to ask who we booked through did the receptionist bother to look in the back office. She seemed to wait until I got really annoyed. Once we checked in everyone was very pleasant.

The rooms were average but i enjoyed the variety of games made available to us.we realised when we got there that our room didn't have a fridge which we needed for our baby's food, but when we enquired they provided us with one. Very friendly staff.

Secluded hotel, great location

Out of town, in bush like setting. Good for quiet rest and relaxation. 30 minutes to Kruger Park reserve.

the place is located in a quite area and the area is beautiful, but the room i stayed in was so disappointing, no Wifi as advertised, no microwave, no bar fridges, the cupboard for storing clothes looks terrible, the walls are dirty and the lastly the shower take the cup, i have never seen a shower head so close to the wall, showering there poses a risk. breakfast was exceptional and the supper we had was great.

Management needs a lot of work

The management and catering of the dining room were very poor and badly overpriced. The pool was kept clean but the surrounding area was completely ignored. by the end of the day the area around the pool was filthy.

I was prepared for the 2 single beds, and was prepared to move them together in order for my husband and I to sleep next to each other. The room was okay, and the parking not too far. I was a little disappointed in the buffet, as the variety was too little if you only took the main, and was too expensive to add salads. My husband and I was VERY disappointed to see that there was no golf course on the resort, as this is what we understood from the pictures. The golf course next to you was fully booked, so we had to drive to Nelspruit. At least we played great golf at Nelspruit. My suggestion is that you should just either make it clear that the golf course is next to you or just remove the golf pictures. Regards,

Great layover spot after exiting Kruger.

Great location for those leaving Kruger Park from the Numbi gate near sunset. Difficult to drive on local roads after dark, but highways are well maintained here and hotel is easy to find. Did not get to enjoy the golf course, but staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but standard for a 100+ unit hotel. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Lost bookings and misrepresented facilities

Upon arrival, reservation staff had no record of booking, and questioned whether 100% paid - had to "convince" them that the booking was legitimate. No WiFi or Coffee in room, despite specifically stated on booking site. Average at best, rooms basic, comfortable and clean.

Quiet Nature Get-Away

Stayed in a self-catering chalet to sleep 6. Less than 10 min away from town with grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. Beautiful views. Very quiet and peaceful. Close to Kruger Park. Has pool, dining, full-service spa, playground w/ in-ground trampoline, outdoor chess board, free covered parking...peacocks, ducks, and guinea fowl roam the grounds. Plenty of grass for kids to run. Definitely could use some updating. But if you are looking to be in nature without actually camping, having some luxuries thrown-in, and close to Kruger Park, this is the place!
