LEGACY CREEKS RANCH CABINS
Welcome to ONE of the TWO tiny cabins we have listed on VRBO and two RV sites located at Legacy Creeks Ranch. We hope you can join us where you can enjoy what we think is a slice of heaven in our beautiful state of Montana. Located in the mountains West of Whitefish less than 30 minutes from downtown Main Street. This peaceful and serene property is near 2 mountain lakes situated on over 100 acres with 3 year round streams, 2 ponds, multiple roads and trails-all surrounded by US forest service to both the Idaho and Canadian border(s). Our listings on VRBO are this Farmer's Market Cabin #2432361 and our Fisherman's Cabin #2432106. You can find our RV listings on Hipcamp. Feel free to check us out on www.legacycreeksmt.com!
On, from, or near our property you can enjoy an endless list of year round activities from mountain and road biking (pedal or motorized), hiking, light boating/canoeing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling , cross country skiing, hunting, fishing, etc., again, all bordered by Forest Service on 3 sides.
Our property offers a couple of different stay options with two identical tiny cabins (listed separately on this site) and full RV sites. Our tiny cabins offer tiny living with large amenities such as full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, lounge chairs, large shower, Queen bed, and even a loft (w/Queen size air mattress) for younger guests. Each cabin has dishes, utensils, coffee pot, toaster, and electric mixer. Other features include a wood stove for when the snowflakes fall and a ceiling fan with lots of windows to catch the refreshing mountain/meadow breezes. Enjoy your time watching deer graze or fish jump from the porch or relax in a recliner with a book. If a movie sounds good at the end of the day in America’s “Last Best Place” we have wifi, a flat screen, and a Roku for you to stream a movie or countless favorite shows.
Each season will provide you with a multitude of choices so finding something to do will not be an issue. There are also many options nearby or about an hour away; Flathead and Whitefish lakes, as well as a myriad of other lakes, shopping or exploring one of the downtown areas, and of course Glacier National Park.

The perfect getaway! Beautiful and peaceful property. Hosts were so welcoming and helpful from start to finish. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
We could not have asked for a better experience for our first trip to MT. While we came for our son’s lacrosse tournament in Whitefish, our stay at LCR was the best decision we made. Debby & James were so informative in advance of our arrival and we loved getting to know them while we stayed with them. The tiny cabin was the perfect space for our family to start our day in and unwind in at night. All the amenities one would find at your own home were available to us. We left with full hearts and when we find ourselves back in MT will definitely be reaching out again to stay in this little slice of heaven!
My husband and I stayed here at Legacy Creeks Ranch cabins, and it was lovely. Debby and James were amazing. Mrs. Debby was very fast to respond to any messages I sent, they met us at the top of the drive to make sure we didn't pass the entrance, and they checked with us often to make sure we had everything we needed (which we did). We have stayed at many VRBO and this was by far our favorite. We really enjoyed it! We were even able to extend our stay by 2 days, we enjoyed it so much. The cabins are adorable and greatly furnished.
We cooked most nights, and the kitchen is well furnished with everything we needed. Mr. James was sweet enough to allow my husband to fish in the pond there on the property. We enjoyed watching the deer every morning/evening at our porch. Its definably a quit little get away paradise.
While we were there we enjoyed Talley Lake which is just a few miles down the road, Glacier park, Apgar Lake McDonald and Going-to-the-Sun Road is a must.
I highly recommend this property! We will be returning😊
This remote property was perfect! Quite, clean, friendly, just what we were looking for. Watch out for the wildlife on the road! Won't have a problem staying here again.
Was the best experience i had ever had staying in a vrbo. The host made sure we had everything we needed. They also had a cake waiting on us upon arrival for are 25th wedding anniversary. Will definitely be booking another stay with them.
Our stay at Legacy Creeks Ranch was everything we wanted and more! James and Debby were incredible hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we had absolutely anything and everything we could possibly need to enjoy our stay. The property was beautifully maintained and each cabin had the most perfect details. Truly a highlight of our trip. If you’re looking for the full Montana experience this is your place!
We thoroughly enjoyed the setting and were able to unwind from the daily grind and get recharged. The cabin had everything that we needed, and the owners went out of their way to ensure that was the case. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay while exploring the many sights in Northwest Montana, especially if you are also wanting to unplug and enjoy some peace and quiet.
The property is amazing, James and Debby strive to ensure that your stay is as relaxing as possible. They have built a small paradise and are so glad to share it with you. They constantly make you feel welcome and that you’re accommodated. The cabins are beautiful and the scenery of mountains and trees leave you speechless. I will be returning ASAP.
We were on the beginning of a cross country stay and this was the BEST stop!!! James and Debby are great hosts!! There if you need them and a great resource of the area. Our original stay was extended one day thanks to our gracious hosts (we just couldn't leave!!) We planned to use this as our gateway to Glacier and it was great for that but there is so much to do...hiking, driving around, JUST enjoying God's creation right around the cabin we had a great time.
Oh...the cabin was amazing too!! Comfortable, beautiful and ALL the amenities we could possibly need.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
Legacy Creek Ranch was just the perfect country oasis for us. Living in suburban Austin, Texas area is getting to be a stressor because of massive traffic issues and just noise all the time and we enjoyed the peaceful, calm setting the ranch provided. We loved the tiny home as it was decorated farmhouse style and just put together so well in how it was built, decorated, and thought about in providing all we needed to enjoy the stay. We were even very happy with the 45 degree mornings we woke up to as those beat Texas by a mile!! No AC was not a factor up in this mountain meadow. Use of the fans was good for us. Each day we spent traveling in to Glacier National Park, to Kalispell, or to Whitefish and West Glacier was started from our wonderful cabin in the country!! We saw many deer on the drives and lots of birds, rabbits, and squirrels!:). We took a walk around the property and saw a deer jump from the bushes to skeedaddle away from us hooomans!:). It was so special also that Debby and James met us at the entry to their ranch in order to be sure we did not pass it by! They are such thoughtful hosts and made us feel totally welcomed and accepted there. We do hope to return in the future and have some more time back in nature. Be sure to read the Legacy Creek Ranch story in the info book under the TV!! Quite inspiring!
I’ve had only one other vacation rental as good as this one and it was in the center of Östermalm Stockholm. James is an excellent host and the space was cozy and neat and most importantly it was quiet. This is truly the ultimate getaway.
