Black Bear Lodge was a perfect spot for a reunion of old high school friends. We loved enjoying all Montana has to offer in the day and relaxing at the Lodge at night. LuAnn was a great host!
Our stay at the cabin was absolutely perfect. We were able to drive to a reasonable distance to glacier national Park and experience the beautiful surroundings of nature. All the amenities in the home where everything we needed and then some. Truly, a dream come true.
The accomodations were amazing. Plenty of room, well appointed, great location - close to town but in an isolated, quiet setting. We loved it and will definitely be back!
We have been staying at this property every year for an annual hockey tournament and we are never disappointed. Plenty of space for all of us, great location, well kept property and exceptional response time from the host for any questions we had.
We will definitely be staying again and will be recommending to anyone looking for a getaway in Montana with a larger group.
A beautiful property with a very accommodating host. It’s perfect for family getaways! it was very clean and a wonderful place to have my family stay for my wedding. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Black Bear is a lovely mountain cabin conveniently located not far from grocery stores, downtown Whitefish, and the ski slopes. We are a family of 13 with 6 of us staying in this cabin and 7 staying in a nearby property managed by the same agent. We gave the property a 5-star rating and would stay again in a heart beat. We have fallen in love with Montana.
Great location on a fantastic property. We got to meet LuAnn and get a private tour of the property. She's great.
Would absolutely stay there again. Probably use the big cabin 18 people its awesome.
We had such a fun stay! The yard was beautiful and the whole family played ball in the yard til dark. We grilled out for dinner and had nice family breakfasts. We had everything we could possibly need and the location was perfect since it was close enough to the airport for the multiple trips we needed to make but only a few minutes from downtown Whitefish. Whitefish is such a lovely town with a beautiful lake and great restaurants and stores. So hope we get to return and would definitely stay here again.
Incredible property and homes for our large group!
LuAnn was amazing! She was responsive, kind and helpful. The houses were perfect for our large gathering of adults. The houses were both stocked and we all were impressed with the large quantities. Quiet and peaceful. We have recommended her properties to other family!!
Sweet location for staying just north of Kalispell. We were a group of families in town for a soccer tournament. It was great to have a place to hangout that wasn’t in a restaurant or at the field. Plenty of beds, rooms, space to spread out. Big kitchen and living room with an additional TV room in the basement for the kids.
Our host was quick, friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again, thanks so much!
It was wonderful. The home is lovely and very clean. Great neighborhood and lots of places to walk. We did not worry about anything and truly enjoyed ourselves. It was also very quiet which we loved. Definitely will be back.
Luann was great. There was a Christmas Basket full of goodies for us and she even supplied a Turkey pan for me. So thoughtful and unexpected.
We stayed with our family for my daughter’s wedding. The place was very well equipped, extremely clean, and very, very comfortable. It felt like home and LuAnn was an excellent host! Very responsive and kind. We loved sitting around the fire pit and my favorite place the front porch. With all the activity surrounding the wedding we appreciated the peaceful house to come
back to each day.
The stay was amazing. Before we arrived the communication was excellent. Traveling with kids we were a little worried but they made it easy with clear instructions, it was quick from entry to internet and leaving was a breeze as there were only a few wrap up expectations. They even provided instructions on park entry passes which kept us able to come and go through Glacier National. We had a fantastic time.
The cabin was so beautiful and peaceful. We loved waking up to the pond view, seeing deer often, sipping coffee on the porch. Our family of 6 adults were super comfortable. The cabin and kitchen fully stocked, very clean. Communications with the host excellent. The location is close to Whitefish, Kalispell, and Glacier Natl. Park, with all the shopping you need. Going to Glacier NP was a lifetime experience for all of us, and coming home to this cabin from a long day of hiking was wonderful, cooking family dinners together. The cabin had corn hole we enjoyed, cooking on the grill outside, games, etc. It's a fantastic place to stay! You'll love it!!
A group of us, all friends, 4 couples, aged 60+, stayed at the house. The west entrance of Glacier National Park is an easy 25-minute drive from the house. We also found the Hungry Horse Reservoir a true gem not far from the entrance to Glacier.
The communication was excellent. We met Luann on the way in. She’s friendly and warm and always answered any questions we had about where to eat, drink, etc.
The house and grounds are immaculate, beautiful, and we had plenty of room for the eight of us. The couches were comfortable as we cheered on the Buffalo Bills one night. We spent a lot of time outdoors on the porch and observed the deer and turkeys that would wander past.
The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to cook in.
Great place to stay!
Black Bear Lodge Boasts Quiet Setting with Comfortable Living
Black Bear Lodge provided a perfect home-base for our family trip to Glacier National Park. The setting was park-like with a green lawn and treed yard. It provided a great backdrop tor corn-hole tournaments and Wiffle ball games as well as quiet morning times on the front porch.
Our crew of 13 had comfortable sleeping arrangements, and the large gathering area of open kitchen and living/dining spaces was perfect for meals, visiting, and family games.
The house was very clean with plenty of extra bath linens and bed blankets. The in-house laundry area was an added plus with 7 grandchildren!
LuAnn was a knowledgeable and attentive host. Her response to questions and concerns was always quick and thorough. She made the rental process and property access easy. LuAnn worked hard with her cleaning crew to get us an earlier check-in when requested ahead of time. She provided valuable GNP information in our planning as well as stocking the house with current magazines, maps and local tourust information..
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a bouquet of fresh flowers and a tray of candy and assorted snacks-a superhost’s welcoming touch of hospitality!
The property’s location is very convenient to the Whitefish community, Glacier International Airport, Kalispell and Glacier National Park.
We were a group of 9 adults. Mostly couples (in our 40's) getting together with old high school best friends and our spouses. We were there mid winter (MLK weekend) and the house was cozy and spacious. The perfect amount of bedrooms (5) and bathrooms (3) There is one king size bed, the rest are queens. Open concept upstairs. With a huge couch. Which was great to SINK into. The kitchen had all the supplies you would need to cook and function ( clean, utensils, garbage bags, saran wrap, coffee makers (2 kinds) etc). We were really happily surprised to see the goodies left for us by the host - thank you!! (I wont ruin any surprises) but it was a very nice touch. Really appreciated. We also were lucky that we were able to come a little earlier and were given permission to leave a little later - you probably can't expect that if they are busy but it was thoughtful. Especially since we flew in from out of town. It was very cold the weekend we were there so we didn't get to really use the outside amenities. We can see that would have been the top selling point of the property any other time of year. The house is a perfect mix of comfortable, homey, well equipped with good lay out. Also it is about 2 minutes from the closest bar/restaurant and 10 minutes from White Fish. Not far from Glacier, Airport and all that the area has to offer. highly recommend.
