Smokey Mountain River Retreat

Beautiful cottage in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. Situated just 58 minutes from all the culture and art of Asheville, yet close to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and all the quaint small towns in the area.

The home has 2 bedrooms downstairs and a master bedroom upstairs, along with a lovely sleeping porch where you can fall asleep listening to the river below. Each of the bedrooms has a high quality mattress and high threadcount sheets. The Master has a king-sized Awara premier natural hybrid mattress.

The kitchen is fully-equipped with a stainless steel fridge with icemaker, range, and dishwasher. Other amenities include a 2-car carport and a wood stove.

If you wish to stay connected during your holiday we've recently installed Starlink satellite internet, so you can enjoy dependable, high speed internet connectivity throughout your visit.

Enjoy drinks on the deck while you watch the fireflies in the trees or head into Sylva (7.5 miles away) for a gourmet dinner or a movie. Whatever you want to do, from shopping for antiques to just relaxing on the deck, this is the best base you could choose to do it from.

Our home overlooks the Tuckaseegee River, very close to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park (most visited park in the US).
Close to our home are many opportunities for hiking, kayaking, rafting, and fishing. You can even kayak the river right in front of our home and float past our house.

Nearby in Sylva and Bryson City (less than 15 minutes) are many fantastic restaurants and a wonderful spa. Less than an hour away is Asheville with its many dining and shopping opportunities. Asheville also has a vibrant arts scene with music, pottery, paintings, theater and more.

This place was amazing, not only the beautiful home, but also the property. We spent most of our time on the front porch looking and listening to the river. We saw bald eagles everyday and got some wonderful pictures. The ONLY problem we had was having to leave. I'd highly recommend this home. Blessings Y'all
