The staff were incredible and so helpful with an issue with our online booking (not on their end at all) They went above and beyond to help sort it and calm me down. Will definitely stay there again!! And the view/location is gorgeous 😍

No dining / breakfast facilities
Bathroom very dated
Staff lovely and helpful
The Foreshore hotel has one thing going for it - the foreshore. Lovely to be close to the sea and if you booked the right room you can see it out the window. But other than that it is tired and dated and over priced for what you get. I appreciate they are going to knock it over and build a big new place soon but until then, this place is over priced for the level of comfort.
The bed noisy, fan in bathroom nearly caught fire, shower leaked and bathroom like something out of the 1960s.
According to them they offered breakfeast. But reality no. I had to go to local restaurant to get that. Thechotel is old and worn. I stayed a full week and the room wasent cleaned several times.
After spending a week in Eyre Peninsula, I stayed at the Foreshore to break up my return drive to Adelaide. Having stayed here before, I knew it would be a pleasant experience.
Being a weekend, the restaurant and reception were closed, so I did not have an opportunity to meet with the staff or dine locally.
The rooms are very much your typical motor inn, good value with pleasant condition. While the Foreshore cafe no longer seems to be open (at least nor on weekends), I was able to walk to and from the local pubs 10-15 minutes away
My ground floor room was quiet and very little passing traffic, and I was able to walk the shore and nearby Ada Ryan Gardens safely and comfortably.
Will be looking forward to visiting after the planned redevelopment, knowing it is good value already,
Outdated, cups and glass were small - couldn’t have a coffee in the morning. Room smelt funny. Lack of designated parking and very noisy. Expensive for what it was!
The closeness of the foreshore and the view across the water.

Given the property will soon undergo massive redevelopment these comments will become invalid.
Bed is in need of replacing. Very soft, so if you have a back injury or the like it may be quite sore the next morning. Bathroom very dated and old. Shower screen loose at floor, shower pressure great. Ocean view is awesome, room is decent size and close to beach and foreshore cafe now run by Smokey Uppercuts. Which was delish. Looking forward to try again once the redevelopment has been completed.

Booking site said there was a restaurant on site. One of the main reasons for booking. Had been closed for some time. Please get the booking site up to date. Motel staff said they had advised the booking site repeatedly. Not good enough.
Staff at motel could not have been more helpfull

The room was small but clean and well kept. Bathroom was particularly small. The room was a bit dated and dark. We were disappointed as the only door opened onto the unshaded carpark, and as we had our dog with us we had to walk her across the hot asphalt to get to the parl on the other side of the building. Would be much nicer if there was access to the garden from the rooms.
Generally we felt it was a bit overpriced, though the location was good.
Property is very dated and worn and needs a complete Reno. They could really get a good share of the market if they took advantage of the locality and made it more up market. We were there Sunday to Monday and were really shocked and disappointed that the restaurant was not open on the weekends, for that matter practically nothing in Whyalla is. We literally had to go and buy prawns and salad from Woolies for lunch because we got to town at 130 and by the time we found a pub, the kitchens had closed-we didn’t want junk food. We did find a pub for dinner but it wasn’t the kind of atmosphere many would feel comfortable with. There was literally nothing else open. The only up side of the stay was, the bed was relatively comfy, the shower was pretty good, and the staff rang the next day to let me know we had left something behind. They were the only real positives. Overall disappointing
