"Everything was excellent. Staff very friendly the manager (sorry I can’t remember his name) was so nice. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms were great. The refrigerators are awesome and have a freezer which was nice so we could have ice ice cream bars for the kids the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna and the shower. That’s right there by the pool along with the big bathroom for both men and women is amazing. It’s just absolutely wonderful everything about Tawas Bay Resort is wonderful. Outside there’s the beach in the pier. Perfect location can walk everywhere. The best part about it though seriously was the manager and staff so kind and helpful. "Excellent accommodations! Highly recommend. The owner provided a ton of fun things including S'mores, pop corn with any flavor you could imagine, games and even painting! Best stay I've had along a route as we travel onward. "

"First off there are signs everywhere stating that you will be charged a $250 cleaning fee if your room smells like smoke. The whole hotel smells like stale smoke. Especially in the rooms. We literally were watched and listened too. Had our lock on the keyed door changed while we were out at a funeral. Came back to a lock that our key no longer fit in. And neither did the master key. The attendant had to call the owner which told him where to find a key to get us into our room. We were pissed. They refunded our money and we left. Luckily we were able to go down the road to a way better hotel! Stay at the Mio Motel!! It's way better. Cleaner, friendlier, and they beds are super comfy. "

"Awesome place. You're in a depression with most neighbors above you so very nice. The creek is nice. The only bad part was the whole area was ice due to the storms. We actually got stuck trying they up the hill. Oweners had us out in an hr. Very nice.Would be an awesome place to stay in good weather. Will try again in the summer."

"We loved the layout of this home. We had lots of room for 6 adults 3 kids and 3 dogs. It was great having an extra kitchen. We went in the winter and enjoyed GREAT ice fishing. Nice size Perch. Nice size yard and a nice neighborhood. Also plenty of parking, we had 3 vehicles and a snowmobile trailer. There is also great hiking and sledding hills nearby. Would come back again for our family winter get away. "

"Loved the house, it was comfy and charming just like the pictures. Staying in the early winter it was peaceful and quiet, the swans and geese honking on the lake the only occasional sound. The local food recommendations were fantastic. Would love to come back someday."

"Wonderful stay at this lake house! The kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room are equipped with all you need. The fireplace and fire pit were put to great use. Down the ladder we went into Lake Huron. Nearby Tawas City has good shopping, biking and hiking near the Lighthouse. The hosts were very responsive when contacted and it is clear that they take great care of and pride in their home."
