The apartment is located in the harbour houses right in the Wieker marina, in the heart of this small town directly on the Bodden. Downstairs in the building and in the immediate area, there are restaurants and small shops; there is also a supermarket and a bike rental shop in Wiek. The town has a well-attended sailing and surfing school; the waters off Wiek are very popular with surfers, kiters, and water sports enthusiasts, as well as anglers.
Wiek is a great starting point for long bike rides through Wittow and for hikes.
