We love the Daytona!
We have been staying at the Daytona for years. It is simply the best when it comes to family options - as well as value. I recommend highly for families with small kids.

The property is very clean. The room we stayed in was very clean and well kept. Property is within one block from the beach boardwalk and most restaurants are within walking distance. There are 2 small pools within the property but I did not use them since is mainly good for families with young kids. Overall is a good place to stay for 2 or 3 nights.

Don’t let the “motel” scare you away. I have stayed in hotels that are not nearly as nice. The building it small but the rooms are very clean and well maintained. Location couldn’t be better as it is a block off the boardwalk and central to the best parts of the boardwalk. Far enough off that you don’t hear any of the noise. Walkable to just about anything you would want to do. The check in lady was super nice and allowed us to part there when and enjoy the pool or beach while not having to pay for extra parking and then notified us when the room was ready. Would go back in a heartbeat.

This property is well maintained. The staff we encountered was all very friendly and helpful. The two properties on the pool was very nice as the pool was never over crowded and we were able to enjoy it as a family.

Staff was super friendly! We had a little issue with the fridge and it was taken care of immediately. The bathroom was small but it worked. Boardwalk and beach was within walking distance. Cute place to stay. Family friendly.

Crazy 10am check out.
We had no indication that check out was at 10am until after I purchased the room. To make things worse the pool doesn’t open until 10am so we couldn’t swim in the morning. The hotel was unwilling to move check out until later. We have trouble understanding that since the room they wanted to give us still had not been cleaned at 6pm so really no reason not to work with us a little.

We are sorry that you did not see the checkout time when you booked but it was explained to you upon arrival prior to check in. When you arrived, your room was most definitely ready. We were trying to give you the best room possible as the one you were booked in originally had recently had complaints about the bed. We discussed that with you while only waiting to confirm the new room was infact rentable as it was not your original room, and you seemed very happy that we were able to give you another room with a better bed.

This is a budget motel - just my style; nothing fancy, but clean, and competitively priced, for the area. The rooms wisely have hard floors, rather than nasty hotel room carpets. The floor could have been cleaner, though. Overall, the cleaning staff did a pretty good job, otherwise. The room was mostly well-maintained (creaky bathroom door, but otherwise good). Parking was very convenient - feet from our room. My biggest gripes were (pretty minor): * They still have metal keys (how quaint) and gave us 2 keys, for four adults. * They require guests to wear a wristband during their entire stay (so they know whether you belong on the property or not). We carried them with us, but I didn't wear it, and no one bothered me, since we were always in our room, when on the property. * The bathroom does not have nearly enough hooks. There is nowhere to set your clothes (we had our two adult children staying with us, so we mostly dressed in the bathroom). The bathroom should have lots of hooks, but only had two. * Not enough hangers - there were only four. All in all, a nice stay. I have no desire to go back to Wildwood, but if I did, I would stay here again.

The room was clean. We loved the kitchenette and the place is great for families. They always say location location and location. This place is right in the middle of everything. Didn't needs to drive anywhere. Everything is in walking distance..
