The fragrances were a bit strong for cleaning supplies and laundry scents but overall a good place to stay right located beside Fox mountain bike trails network.
Clean room, helpful staff, easy parking, eating options in walking distance, quiet too. Screen missing on a window and AC was a bit noisy. Overall good value and would stay again.
If this hotel was a song it would be Papa Roach - LAST RESORT. Ended up in Williams Lake on business. The ABSOLUTE last room available in town according to Expedia. I didn’t believe that was correct. Must have been a system error, so I physically went to several hotels in the city to find a last minute place to stay. Nothing. So I reluctantly booked here. Formerly the Stampeder Motel it’s now called the Stampeder Inn. There’s black vinyl covering the space on the sign where Motel used to appear.
Room hadn’t been cleaned. Bed had been slept in. Garbage in the trash can. Used towels in the bathroom. Oh and it sits across the road from the crematorium!
This place, according to GOOGLE-is permanently closed!
Its crew housing at best. Several guys to a room. Building is ROUGH. Clientele equivalent to the structure. A bob-tail semi truck parallel parked in the narrow driveway.
I considered sleeping in my vehicle. Shoulda, coulda, woulda…
Place should be bulldozed.
Toilet backed up and I had to quickly turn of the water to it before it runeth over…
If you’re going to Williams Lake mid-week BOOK ELSEWHERE, well in advance. It’s a busy town. Lesson learned.
