Sunset Serenity Relaxation Convenient attached apartment.

  • My husband Donnie and I warmly welcome you to enjoy the beautiful sunset at this cozy, safe and relaxing country getaway. This guest home is attached to our residence. Has separate entrance & own area. Sit out on deck sipping coffee or just relax at the pool (towels provided ) Feel free to wander down to the woods at the picnic table and the fire pit. Grill out on our gas grill or feel free to cook in the fully equipped kitchen. We are located just three miles from Dry Ridge. 10 minutes to the Ark Encounter. They have their Christmas lights staring November 28th! Visit the Creation Museum (40 min). Kings Island, Newport Aquarium or the Cincinnati Zoo fall within one hour we are available by phone or text at anytime.

Had a wonderful stay at Martha and Donnie’s guest house. Martha was more than accommodating and provided everything we needed. Lovely people and beautiful property. Especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and making Schmores and hotdogs.

Peaceful little adventure for our family

We finally made the trip to Kentucky to see the Ark and the Creation Museum. We were so blessed to find this cute little VRBO. The owners were very welcoming and gracious. Our daughter enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the quiet. Tho this is in the country, it was close enough to Ark (10 minutes) and Creation Museum (45 mins). Also, several restaurants and stores.This little place had everything we needed for our quick getaway. We only wish we could have stayed a couple more days. Huge Thank You to D&M :) Hope to be back someday soon.

Quiet and Peaceful

Beautiful sunsets and rolling hills. We really enjoyed our visit and meeting the owners. It was a great get away to the country, enjoying the birdsongs, deer in the early evening, and watching the kids catch fire-flies. The ARK Encounter is only 15 minutes away, and we had a blast. Try the local eatery Beans Cafe and Bakery for some good bites.

Our stay at Sunset Serenity was perfection! Martha and Donald are the quintessential hosts - we felt supported and looked after, but never felt we didn't have the privacy we wanted. The property was well cared for and provided a welcome escape for my kids to run and play after long days of sightseeing. Enjoying smores by the firepit as the sun sets is a must-do! You simply cannot stay stressed out here - I highly recommend you stop in for a stay!

Martha's place was everything we were hoping for and more😉. The yard was beautifully manicured with blooming flowers of all varieties. Perfection

Perfect location, this VRBO is attached to the owner's main house and on their property. The pool was amazing with floaties and toys for the kids, including life jackets if needed. The rooms were equipped with toys for the kids and games. It was perfect for our family of 4. It has a Keurig with coffee pods, there is a firepit outside, and outdoor games. The owners were kind and so lovely to converse with. The ARK Experience and Creation Museum were close and there was enough to do that we were happy and satisfied. We have bookmarked this property to stay at again when we are in the area.

At home with old friends

We walked into a dated lodging that was attached to the main home. It was clean and filled with amenities. If you want an upscale place to stay, this is not for you. We got a little worried on our drive to the place, but once there felt right at home. We loved the big, huge spacious back yard with a see-saw and corn hole to play. Our 4 year old loved running in the grass and shooting the super soaker at the flies and other insects he saw outside. He and I put our feet in the big pool out back and I washed by clothes in the laundry room off the pool deck. There was only one bedroom with two beds - a queen and a twin - and a sofa to sit (the big closet in the bedroom did have a mattress that would fit on a portable frame if someone wanted to sleep in there). The lodging has a full kitchen with everything you need and one bathroom with plenty of towels. There was a nice swing to sit and take in some nature and also a nice fire-pit to make s'mores (ingredients provided. The host also provided lots of games and items to engage a little one (crayons, stuffed animals, books, etc.). Our engagement with Donnie and Martha made them feel like old friends we hadn't seen in a long time. They were so friendly and accommodating in every way. We would go back to visit our new "old" friends!
