"The person checking us on was wonderful. We have stayed there before and she knew it. She gave us the same room we had before. She was very nice. Best hotel for the cost."

"Desk staff was very polite and quick response time. Room itself had clean sheets and towels, an room itself was clean even if not in the best of shape. The water was the worst I have seen. It smelled of SULFUR and was only a light pressure - took forever to wet short hair. When exiting shower your entire body smelled of sulfur! "

"The rooms were clean, quiet, and spacious. The lobby was well maintained especially considering it's on a busy corner with significant traffic. Check-in and out was very friendly and efficient. My only disappointment was that the breakfast buffet items were not adequately heated, or thawed, and it wasn't inexpensive. Otherwise we had a great experience and I would stay here again."
"This hotel is historic; many things just felt outdated. The bathroom ceiling had stains, and one of the elevators seemed to struggle to reach each floor. Noise was the biggest issue. A conference was happening during my stay, and a large group of attendees gathered outside the hotel late at night, talking and laughing loudly around 11:45 p.m. for over an hour. Inside, the walls are thin enough that you can hear conversations from the next room. On top of that, guests letting their doors slam created extremely loud bangs — not ideal when it’s 2 a.m. and you’re trying to sleep. The hotel really needs to enforce quiet hours or implement better noise control.
On the positive side, the front desk staff were very helpful. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant, but the grab‑and‑go area felt overpriced.
Overall, I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect a reasonable level of comfort and rest — and unfortunately, this stay didn’t deliver that."
"The staff and rooftop bar were great, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing. The property felt outdated and in need of significant updates. The biggest issue was finding bugs in the room, which made the stay uncomfortable and raised concerns about cleanliness. While the service and location was great, the condition of the hotel did not meet expectations and would make me hesitant to stay here again."
"I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Airport this past weekend.
Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable from start to finish, and I would not have booked this property had I been properly informed of the conditions. At no point prior to booking was it disclosed that the hotel was actively under construction and renovation. This lack of transparency significantly impacted the quality of my stay.
The issues I encountered were serious and compounded over the course of my visit:
* On the first night, there was a mouse in our room, which required us to be relocated.
* On the second night, one of my personal belongings—a dust bag for a designer handbag—was discarded without my consent.
* During our stay, we received late notice (at approximately 4:00 a.m.) that the water would be shut off from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the following day. This forced us to abruptly change our plans and leave the hotel to find alternative accommodations just to shower before our flight.
* Upon checkout, the condition of the hotel lobby was alarming, including a visible hole in the ceiling with water leaking through, further reinforcing the poor state of the property."
