Happy House on the Blanco River

We are close to Wimberley and Canyon Lake on the beautiful Blanco Rapids Ranch right on the Blanco River. You'll enjoy a picturesque setting with river access, walking trails, pickle ball court and relaxation. We are well stocked, excellently decorated and wonderfully comfortable. We are good for couples, families with kids, solo adventurers and anyone looking to recharge.

The Happy House at Blanco Rapids Ranch is a historic farmhouse in a very private and peaceful setting. Happy House has a king bed and optional air mattress for additional guests. The bathroom has a full-size tub/shower combo. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, convection oven and induction burner. The most beautiful place to cook is on the private patio with optional charcoal/propane BBQ grill. There is a table for dining and 2 iron lounge chairs to enjoy. There is an old stone fireplace near the house that is a stunning place to sit and relax. The covered porch is perfect to enjoy coffee in the morning with the sunrise coming over the Devil's Backbone ridges. There’s a beautiful lawn surrounding the Happy House and a new dog fenced area with shade for your pup. It is just a short walk to a gorgeous part of the Blanco River.

Please bring river shoes as the concrete slab near the river and the rocks in the river are slippery. Please do not go with bare feet or flip flops.
Please no glass at the river, foam and plastic cups are available for your use.
Happy House is Pet Friendly. However we only allow 1 pet per stay. Please don't leave pets unattended in the house. There is a Dog Run available for your use on the property.

A car is needed to get to/from the ranch. The Happy House is past the suites and the big yellow house. It is the farmhouse at the far end of the property. Property is located 2.5 miles down a private road on a beautiful part of the Blanco River. The property is in Wimberley, Hays County but the entrance is in Fischer, Comal County.

My husband and I live on the ranch as well as the caretakers. This ranch is in the former Boy Scout Ranch on the Devil's Backbone. It is very private yet an easy drive to Wimberley, Canyon Lake, Gruene or San Marcos. You are welcome to bring bikes to ride the Devil's Backbone and Hill Country.

It is best to pick up supplies at the Brookshire Brothers in Canyon Lake or the H-E-B in Wimberley before coming out. There are restaurants in the area, but you'll want to have some food on hand. Dominos has recently started delivery in our area, and Uber eats has 1 driver but its not consistent.
