Hickory Hideaway on Tim`s Ford Lake, Boat rental available

Hickory Hideaway is a beautiful 4 bedroom 4 bath home situated in a quiet cove. Enjoy the scenic views out the screened in porch of the Tennessee park land across the cove. Our shoreline deck and private dock is easily accessible by a stairway. With room for family or friends, this home offers a private dock on the lake for all of your water sports activities, Only minutes by land or water from Tim`s Ford Marina and Tim`s Ford State Park and Jack Nicholas` designed Bear Trace golf course. We are just a short drive to either Winchester or Lynchburg.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The living room has comfortable seating for 8+. The bedrooms feature 1 King sized bed and 2 Queen size beds and each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a full size roll away bed and a queen size air-mattress available, which will allow for the guest count to reach 10. There is also a porta-crib provided. All linens and towels are provided.

Our walkout basement (4th bedroom) has been newly refinished to add an addition space to hang out and an addition bathroom with shower. This room is equipped with a 50` TV, queen size sleeper sofa, twin rollaway bed, refrigerator, Keurig and microwave. The finished basement has its own entrance and is not accessible from inside the house. This is great space to send the kids or anyone else wanting their own space.

There is ample seating in the screened in porch, including a swinging bed, along with deck seating around a gas fire pit and outdoor dining table with seating for 6.

There is a grill and electric smoker for your outdoor cooking needs.

We now offer the private rental of our 20ft pontoon boat. You can skip going to the marina to rent one, or the worry of one being available. Rental is available by the day or the stay. Message us for more details.

Weather you rent our boat or not, you will have access to 10+ life jackets of many sizes, inter-tubes, water skis/knee boards, and 2 kayaks (1 single 1 double) and a paddle board.

This cabin is so beautiful. The views were gorgeous. Tim was outstanding. My family would all agree that the screened in porch was our favorite spot. The swinging bed added such a nice touch and was super cozy. We would eat and play games on the table on the porch while we enjoyed the peaceful lake and beautiful scenery. We made lots of wonderful memories during our stay. We did have some trouble with the boat while we were there but it was handled quickly and efficiently so even though things didn’t go as planned we all had a great time and enjoyed our time

Felt like we were visiting friends. Kitchen condiments, cleaning supplies, body wash and shampoo - all were available. Personal photos were set around. Nicely appointed with lots of comfy blankets for snuggling. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towels. Lake view was beautiful. We had a mechanical hiccup with the pontoon (add-on) but owner did everything he could to make it right. Younger guests LOVED the tube and kayak. Plenty of parking for guests. Will absolutely stay here again.

Amazing Host

The location of this house was absolutely perfect. Peaceful setting but close to restaurants and stores. Tim was the perfect host. We rented his boat docked in the slip at the house. We had an issue the first day with the boat, and he had someone out that evening to fix it. I messaged him several times before and during our stay, and he was always quick with a response. The house had everything needed for a great vacation. Highly recommended!

Lake paradise

Wanted to get away for the weekend with my family before having spinal surgery in a few days. This home was absolutely, spectacular! There were lots of steps down to the water so we all got a workout but was well worth the view. We plan on making this lake house a yearly tradition as long as it is available. Highly recommend!

All the comforts of home!

We had a great visit and enjoyed some early fall colors while kayaking on the lake. Really appreciate the fully stocked kitchen; we made birthday cake for one of our family members, and Hickory Hideaway had all the pans we needed. My family just adores the covered porch and bed swing; it is big enough for our whole family! Only wish we could have stayed longer… but we’ll be back!

Wonderful Relaxing Space

We had a wonderful time with our family. The home was very well appointed and decorated very nicely. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could think of or might need for cooking. The dock has a very nice area with lounge chairs and there was no wake in the cove, perfect for swimming and floating. The screen porch is a very comfy place to hang out. We had a very relaxing day and did not want to leave this beautiful home.

July 4th Weekend

Hickory Hideaway was the perfect place for our family gathering over the 4th of July. With 3 adult children and their wives, it was great to find a home with enough bedrooms that all had king or queen beds! This home is as beautiful as all the picture show. We had plenty of room to gather around the dining room table and sit in comfort in the living to talk, play games and sharing our special time together. This home is truly a gem.

Fantastic Family Time

This is the 2nd year we have stayed in this lake home for Thanksgiving. The place is so well stocked, clean and cozy. The open living room lay out allows for the perfect family atmosphere. Fireplace on, games being played, cooking in the kitchen. The host is easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I can’t say enough good things! It’s also conveniently located, close to Winchester. We are looking forward to staying again in just a few weeks.

A Wonderful Lake House

Our family (parents, adult children and their spouses) gathered at Tims Ford Lake at Hickory Hideaway (midway point for most of us) just to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and each other's company. We worked in some distilleries on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, too. What fun! The house has everything needed for a memorable time: screened in porch with wonderful bed swing, decks, dock, kayaks, games, etc. Would do it all over again - and may! Tim is a fantastic host who is available when needed.

Even better than pictured

Had a wonderful stay! From the minute you walk in, you see a very luxurious, but casual and comfy home. Beautiful fireplace. Open floor plan. Wall of glass looks out onto screened in porch which has an amazing swing and overlooks the lake.. the screened in porch gives a second seating area for meals and relaxation. Rented the pontoon boat, which is what sold us on the property because it’s so convenient. You can take it out for an early morning fishing trip, come back and relax, go back out in the afternoon and even go back out in the evening. So convenient, which made it so much easier and more likely for us to spend the time out on the lake. Also has kayaks and inner tube to pull behind the pontoon boat. How much easier could it get? You could swim off the dock, although we did not do that because we spent most of our time out on the lake in the boat. Only negatives are what you see in the listing, which is the fourth bedroom has an exterior entrance. We did not use that bedroom with its sleeper sofa. Just be aware with any lake house, there are many stairs going down to the lake. Even though the stairs have a handrail, It is still quite a hike down to the lake. We plan to make this an annual trip. Exceeded our expectations. Wonderful much needed getaway.

Warm and cozy lake get away

We had an amazing get away, and enjoyed the house and the lake immensely. When we arrived we were all in awe of how nice the house was and said it's so much more then what we expected and the pictures show. We were pleasantly surprised by the upgrades to the kitchen table, table on porch and completion of the downstairs. We made sure we reached out to let Tim know we were so excited. The house is warm and cozy, inviting and so very comfortable. there was plenty of areas to sit, relax, and enjoy. The decorating is superb and very homey. The swing bed on the porch was definitely a favorite! The porch was a fun place to hang out when the temperatures were cooler, we were able to eat 1 dinner out there and had a couple games nights. The porch and dock are lit up with lights which gives it all that much more warmth. The house was fully stocked with all the necessities you need, including your basic spices, toilet paper, pots pans, tupperware, towels, bedding which was great not to have to pack all that. We rented the boat for the week and we were out on it everyday most of the day and every night for sunset, so worth the rental. It was awesome that Tim and his wife let us use their water skis, and tube to pull behind the boat, our family had a blast. The lake was spectacular, so clean warm and fun. It is a huge lake and not a lot of boat traffic so you could enjoy the water sports. There are three marina restaurants you could go to by boat our favorite was Twin Creeks. We explored a lot of the lake , enjoyed looking at all the pretty homes and coves. Found a few rope swings for the kids to swing on. Every night a short boat ride out of the cove and to the left was the perfect spot to view the sunset, so beautiful. We absolutely loved this house, the lake, and our vacation, we will definitely be back again. Tim is great to work with always very responsive. Thanks!
