Wismar’s Old Harbour, one of the Hanseatic city’s most attractive spots, is literally right at your feet. From here, you can easily explore the historic city and its beautiful surroundings. By the way, the Old Harbour is an extremely popular venue for events and celebrations of all kinds!
You can reach Wismar’s historic old town in just about a 10-minute walk. Here you’ll find numerous shopping options, restaurants, and cafés, a vibrant selection of leisure activities and nightlife, as well as sights and day-trip destinations. The city on the Baltic Sea and its events—such as the Swedish Festivals or the Harbour Days—attract over 500.000 visitors annually. The island of Poel is perfect for long walks on the beach. Here, you can stroll along the coast for hours in any weather and let the wind blow through your hair. The Ohlerich Speicher is home to the Italian restaurant Rialto, and right nearby, the well-known TV chef Steffen Henssler runs one of his popular Ahoi restaurants!
