"This was a great choice for our family of two adults, three teenagers and two dogs. The location was close enough to Bar Harbor without the high cost of lodging. The rooms are newly renovated with efficiency kitchens. The full size refrigerator allowed us to stock up on food from Walmart and eat throughout of four night stay, which saved us a lot of money. The daily breakfast had a lot of hearty offerings. The afternoon cookies in the lobby were an added treat. This hotel offers a gym and soon their pool will reopen. All employees from Katie at the front desk to the ladies in housekeeping were all so pleasant and nice to speak with. Even from my first phone call to this hotel to add my dogs to the reservafion, everyone was always so polite and professional. I'm glad we chose Hawthorn Suites for our time while visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. We had a great four nights here. If we ever come back to Acadia, we would not hesistate to rebook another stay here! "

"Quiet clean comfortable home in Ellsworth, a quaint town a short trip to Mount desert Island and Acadia national Park. The town is worth the trip and the lake is quiet and peaceful. If Acadia is your goal this is easy access to the island. The property is as described clean and easy to access. The host responsive and accommodating. Would happily stay again if on another trip to Acadia "
"The stay was great. The breakfast was good with good options for the first two days, the hash brown potatoes were great.The next two days did not have any vegetarian options except bagel, it would have been good to have some veg options everyday. The fresh cookies and free ice cream were real nice add on"
"We loved our stay in this beautiful, modern apartment. It’s centrally located to so many places. The town of Ellsworth is so charming with cute shops and restaurants. The porch is perfect for coffee and we had a little doe visitor a couple of times. The apt has everything you need for cooking and had plenty of room for our family of 4.
