Great choice 👌
Cute property with wonderful views all around to enjoy nature. Conveniently located near the highway made for a quick trip to town. I think this place has a good opportunity to only get better. The wifi was a little shotty & the primary bed was lumpy & squeaky. I didn't experience any real problems & would recommend staying here for anyone who wants some time to create memorable experiences not to be forgotten with a significant other or family/group.

Highly recommend
The cabin was beautiful and clean! It had everything we needed and more! The backyard area was where we spent most of our time and it was such a relaxing space! The lake view from the backyard was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We look forward to our next trip back, and would highly recommend staying at this cabin to anyone and everyone!

Great Cabin and Lake. Poor Boat Launch
The house was perfect and everything we expected. Lake was a great size and we caught a bunch of good size pan fish. It was perfect for skiing and tubing. The boat launch was horrendous, which I realize is not the owners fault, however, we didn’t know it was this bad which was surprising to us when we went to launch our boat. Just want people to be aware of this. We were able to get our boat in and out but it was a struggle!

Snowmobile trip

This was a lovely family weekend stay 'up north'
This place is wonderful! The bedrooms are quiet, and the beds are comfortable. The view of the lake, the deck, the fire pit area were all lovely. The swing set and slide were a major bonus for my 2.5 year old granddaughter :) There's a nice sized, well equipped kitchen for me to pound out some easy/fun family favorite recipes. A huge thank you to our hosts who made the stay so easy and welcoming!

Very nice
Had a great time. Location was perfect for our family to enjoy all that Minoqua has to offer. Property was great for our family with grown kids. Cooked meals there, used the large deck and fire pit. Appreciated that it had a washer and dryer, dishwasher, wood for campfires and movies available on the tv. It was very clean and had plenty of room. Very beautiful view of the lake with lovely sunsets.

Centrally located wonderful cabin in the Northwoods
This place had everything we needed for a relaxing, fun stay. The accommodations were very nice and the cabin was clean and comfortable. The fishing wasn't great, but the dock was very nice and we enjoyed the canoe a lot. There were a few too many weeds for the kids to enjoy swimming, but they didn't bother us parents. The hosts were great and communication was prompt. We would definitely recommend this spot and hope to be back next year!

Wonderful Stay in Gods Country
We had such a great stay at little Muskie retreat. The deer are everywhere. View from the back porch is beautiful, we saw bald eagles and tons of wildlife. We come in Minocqua every year and this place was amazing! We will be back :)

for a hunting group
Everything was fine until the we didn't have water. Without water toilets don't work and we had to go to a gas station. Last year the same thing happened, they got it working , but it was very inconvenient in that we leave the house at 5:15 AM. I was told we would be compensated but have not been yet.

Perfect Northwoods Vacation
The place is adorable! Great fireplace in living room, nice, large deck with perfect view of lake. Nice and quiet, deer visited several days. What I liked was it is private but I could still see the highway and it is close to several restaurants etc.

We enjoyed our stay. At night we had Eagles in the trees above our deck. Water very clear. We caught and released bluegills , crappie, and northern Saw muskrat, deer and fox

Overall a nice stay
The house was clean and comfortable enough. It was nice to sit on the deck and see the Eagle. The check in process was easy and the location was convenient. However, there were a few disappointments. The deck is in need of some work. There was a chair on the deck and in the house that are in need of replacement. Finally, we would not consider the lake access to be a sandy bottom. There are plants everywhere. We are glad we didn’t rent a motor boat because of all the plant life in the lake. We didn’t swim in the lake, but the beach was only a short drive away. Overall, a nice relaxing week away.

Stayed for 3 weeks because our grandsons attended a hockey camp in Minoqua. The place was exactly as described. We had excellent weather and enjoyed the lake for swimming, boating and fishing. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay.

Enjoyable Mini Vacation
The facilities were very clean, inviting and well maintained. We enjoyed the beautiful water view , playing games and grilling on the deck. The bench on the dock was great to view the scenery and wildlife. We had some fun nights around the fire pit. It was a bonus to have the wood provided. The guys had a good time catching a variety of small fish and some northern on the lake. There was a blacktop trail and sidewalks to walk and explore the area. We did enjoy our experience paddling around the lake with our kayak, but were unsure how to access the canoe that was provided. We forgot to ask when the owner checked to make sure everything was going well! It was a very relaxing mini vacation that provided family time, friendship, great food and lots of fun!

for a hunting group
Most things were fine but the coffee maker does not work and the pizza oven was arcking inside so could not use. For hunting we would get up early and one day the iron curtain recharges in the morning so there was no water to use, making things difficult for six adults. Ther was no telephone number to call or text listed in the folder at the cabin. But overall the stay was good and would recommend .

Beautiful lake
Minocqua is a pretty big city for my wife and me when we take a vacaation so the highway was noticeable, but otherwise it was perfect. The little lake has surprisingly big fish!

Property was clean and nicely appointed. This was almost perfect for the four adults. The lake is nice and the local Bald Eagles visited every day in the white pine by the lake. The only two downsides to our visit was we had to leave, and the road noise from HWY 51 was a little bothersome. We would rent this again as it's close to everything.

Northern Wisconsin getaway to Little Muskie Retreat
We had a delightful stay at Little Muskie Retreat! The cottage was just as described - very comfortable and everything we could ask for. It was VERY clean. The Minoqua/Woodruff was a lot of fun and we enjoyed exploring the back roads and visiting the numerous supper clubs the area is famous for. It was a little chilly the week we were there but the fireplace in the cottage was very welcome in the evening and we enjoyed the campfire. We wanted to try some fishing but it was too cold. We had a really nice time and appreciate being able to use the cottage. Little Muskie Lake is a very pretty lake and the cottage has a nice view. Thank you for the opportunity.

Didn’t quite live up to expectations
Bottom line: was expecting a little bit more, especially given price. We made do but would not stay again. Pros: - plenty of dry firewood for the campfire - spacious - bald eagle(s) regularly perched in pine tree right by cabin - close proximity to both Minocqua and St. Germain (where family was staying) - canoe available for lake use - decent selection of DirectTV channels including HBO - reliable wireless Cons: - outside of house and deck in sore need of power washing - most (not all) deck chairs in disrepair - water very mineral-y, smelled of iron - to such a degree that we didn’t feel comfortable drinking it and had to use bottled water for just about everything - several clothes items washed in washing machine left with rust-iron stains (not just light-colored clothing either) - house not entirely clean upon arrival — kitchen sink was literally brown and fridge had not been wiped out (was able to scrub sink clean after letting it soak with Comet) - pillows and mattress in master bedroom old and not very comfortable - not enough bath towels for our party of 4 (fortunately we had brought extra) - kitchen supplies old, very worn and did not appear particularly well-cared for

We are very sorry to hear that your stay was not a 5 star vacation. The last thing we want is for a guest to have an unpleasant stay. From your feedback we've listened and have already planned for changes! In the next month we will be installing a softener to remove all of the discolored and smelly water. New outdoor chairs for the fire pit and deck are also on their way for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen is also going to have an upgrade by the end of the year. Nice....but....
From first glance the property was exactly as pictured. As we got closer we realized that there were houses quite close to us on each side. However, the neighbors were quiet. The outside of the house could use a power washing. The chairs on the porch were dirty and uninviting. They had to be cleaned before we sat on them. The lake view was beautiful until you looked to the right where you saw the gas station. The red lights on the Kwik Trip took away from the beauty of the night sky. The inside of the house looked just like the online pictures and it was very clean....except for the rusty toilets. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely hard. We would have switched to the other bedroom but the window did not have a shade and the room was bright in the morning even with the curtain pulled closed. The deer were quite friendly and we were able to get some great, up close photos. We had a female deer and her 2 fawns visit us almost every day. There was an eagle in the pine tree by the back porch. It was great watching her but we were not fast enough to get a picture. The house is conveniently located to Minocqua with lots of stores and restaurants. Lots of firewood was provided for night time fires.

Great Cabin & Property
We booked this cabin for a family vacation of 7 adults and 1 baby and it was excellent. It wis in a very convenient location. The cabin was nicely stocked with supplies for your everyday needs. We are already in the planning stages of our next vacation and would be very interested in renting this property again. Oh and the property manager Adrian was very accommodating and very quick to respond to any messages that we sent. Thanks Adrian!

We loved it!
We checked out a lot of different options on VRBO and this place had everything we were looking for. We did a lot of fishing off the pier, there was plenty of room for our group of 6, we had what we needed to make all our meals, and the decor was cozy and welcoming! We loved our time here and would happily come back in the future.
