Lovely spot

Lovely spot. We were a party of 3, but it would comfortably suit 6. Helpful host sent through a list of interest areas and dining options close by. We would love to stay again, perhaps will bring a mat to put by the front door and shower to wipe feet on next time :)

Wooli holiday

Great location overlooking river and the beach a short distance to beach. Close proximity to bowling club and cafe. Blue shack was clean, had a great outdoor deck and well equiped kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Our stay was amazing. The property was very clean and all photos online show exactly how the property is. The location was perfect with the river directly across the road and short walking distance to beach and bowling club. Communication with the owner was great and the entire process was very easy. Would very much come back to stay

THE BLUE RIVER SHACK WOOLI

This is a gorgeous little cottage close to everything. It’s clean and well appointed. There was nothing we needed. Comfy beds and a great set up for a family or a group of friends. Will definitely try and get back again.

Great location and very clean

We all enjoyed our stay. We bought oysters from the shop a few block away. Went fishing and swimming and had lots of BBQs on the deck. The only thing we found wrong was our small dog could escape under the front fence. The main bedroom light didn't work and the swich of the ceiling fan was broken off. Other than that everything was great.

Old World Seaside town

The house was well equipped and in a good location. No mobile coverage for Vodafone gave us a quieter holiday than expected. We loved Wooli, a lovely seaside village.

Relaxing Getaway

Great place to relax in this old beach shack. Lots of quirks in the shack to beware of like opening the front which is really the back door. You may never get it shut again. Make sure the fridge door is open to open the oven door. Watch your step from the sun room and use the washing machine with the laundry door Is closed. Lock your push bikes up at night. Otherwise we had a great time relaxing with views of the river. Overall the place gave us what we needed and I needed to remember it was just a beach shack.

Photos on website did not reflect the age of the property. Very dated property. Floor was not swept properly from previous stay as dog hair swept up was not from ours. Limited parking available at property. Pleasant village overall

Great Location & Great Deck

Had a great stay at the Blue River Shack. The location is great and the house was clean, tidy and well equipped. Was great to have a house available where we could bring our dog. Our Labrador loved the water and the big deck to relax on.

Excellent Property

This is our second visit to Wooli and our first stay at the Blue River Shack and it was the perfect location and home away from home. We were able to bring our dog with us who loved having the deck to relax on and watch the world go by. We had a small issue with the water pressure in the shower but the property manager sorted this out for us with a plumber coming out first thing the next morning and we were back in action. Great location and walking distance to the local. The house was very clean and the bed was super comfy which is always a bonus when away from home. We will definitely back to stay at the shack next time we are in Wooli.!

Great location

Enjoyed the stay and location despite the heavy rain. Suggest cleaners/owners should check that all lights work (all bar 1 bedroom lamps did not work) and TV audio connections are correctly plugged in. Otherwise great house, large deck with views and BBQ well used. Outdoor shower was fantastic and beach, shops and bowls club all a very short walk. Highly recommend this place.

Great holiday destination and accommodation

Comfortable and clean accommodation, in a beautiful, quiet location. Lovely outlook over the river and very short drive to a patrolled beach. Our 12 year old poodle enjoyed laying out on the covered deck and taking long walks with us on the pet friendly beach, just a very short walk from the house. Great place!

It exceeded our expectations on many levels....Location, location...fantastic!Heavenly comfortable bedBeautiful well shaded deckImmaculately cleanTastefully and well furnishedExcellent media equipmentThoughtful selection of reading material, games and DVDsWell equipped kitchen - sharp knives = blissAdded bonus of a rosemary bush which added to culinary effortsNative flowers in the garden and roadside nasturtiums to add more colour to glorious daysAnd of course, the ability to bring our beloved dogs.Access couldn't have been more simple, little key safe a super idea.We wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend (and have). We have left a shell mobile we made for the house and hope others will add to it. I know that I am very late with my review but I would thoroughly recommend "Blue River Shack" to anyone contemplating a relaxing and peaceful break away. The accommodation is spot on! The cottage is homely and well equipped. What a fantastic place to stay! Especially if you are boating/fishing people, we were neither. We wanted a quiet place to stay with good beach walks. You have the choice of beach or river at Blue River Shack.. One at the back and one at the front. We just wanted a nice holiday with our old English Pointer. A place where we could relax and go for walks on the beach with her. At the time we were given permission for her to be inside with us. That was great!I have recently come back to this accommodation to reminisce, although sadly, we could not stay again as now we have 3 English pointers.. I noticed a review by Rebecca April 2012 about no screen doors on back or front.. That was our only complaint! Not for the same reason though..Although our old dog was allowed inside , she would have stayed outside in the daytime if there was a screen door. Blue River Shack does need screen doors different and obvious reasons.

I booked this property, and than had to cancel due to work committments. The owners were more than helpful and the refund came through as soon as it was re-booked. I appreciated the quick actions of the owners and would certainly recommend this property to anyone, and hope to stay there later. Thanks guys.
