Comfort Inn Martinsville

"Martinsville comfort inn says 6.7 rating on Expedia, but online shows 2.8 or lower. 1st room 200 was a wreck, stains on bedding and walls, doors noticeably damaged/paint peeled off, furniture broken w/ a door/drawer hanging off & window shade broken. Moved to 2nd room 324 at 1245 AM - same stains on bedding, paint damage, + electrical outlet hanging out of wall. Then moved to 3rd room 328 - same stains on bedding, peeled paint + light shorting out, + plus smoke detector was missing from wall (just hanging wires). Hotel needs a full remodel; replace all furniture mattresses, and needs all new linens/bedding towels etc. They should not be an option on Expedia in current condition definitely not a hotel i could recommend"

"We had an advanced reservation and when we arrived there was no one there, all the doors were locked and empty parking. There were no other rooms available in the area. Hotels.com had it at the top of their list and highly recommended. Very unhappy!!"

"We stayed here just passing through. The beds were clean, though there were small cigarette burns on some of the sheets. The rooms were secure and the premises quiet on the Friday night we stayed. We rented 2 rooms and one of them appeared to have mildew on the vent in the bathroom. One of the rooms we initially got did not have a properly flushing toilet and was missing a light bulb. When we told the front desk they promptly changed us to a different room that was proper. While there was good water pressure, the tubs were old and stained. The toilet seats were the small round old-fashioned type. The whole place felt pretty run down, old, and in need of serious rennovation. There is an in-ground outdoor pool but it wasn't open yet. Breakfast was only waffles and frozen sausage biscuits, which worked for the kids but the wife and I are gluten free so we had to get something elsewhere. The lady who checked us out was friendly and professional."

The setting was absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful… perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We especially loved spending our mornings on the deck enjoying the quiet surroundings and taking walks around the property. It was a wonderful stay, and we’d happily return!"
