First the leash, then the wellington boots, and off we go towards the dike. The Achtern Diek 2-33 holiday rental is located under a thatched roof right in the middle of the Dorum-Neufeld holiday park: 44 compact square metres for up to four people, and dogs are welcome.

There are two sleeping areas: a double bed with an open foot of the bed in the bedroom, and a small double sofa bed in the living room. Both can be darkened. This is handy when the kids go to bed earlier than the adults. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, and dishwasher; the bathroom has a shower. A cot, high chair, and outlet covers are provided; you’ll share the washing machine and dryer with the other guests at the complex.

If you’d like to sit outside, you can quickly head to the beach: it’s one kilometre to Watt’n Bad. Restaurants and shopping are right next to the house. A parking space is included with the apartment, and there’s an electric charging station on the property. You can walk to the fishing harbour and the Obereversand lighthouse.
