Kaga Hotel Guide. Hotels in Yamanakaonsen Higashimachi, Kaga, Japan

"The hotel is totally unique and it gives an excellent experience"

"Everything is good."

"Fantastic hotel, fantastic food, fantastic staff. Highly recommended, would love to return!"

"A great local hospitality experience of onsen, buffet food and a fun play room which catered well for the family (all in a beautiful location)."

"Helpful staff, a lovely room, excellent food and beautiful surroundings made our stay a highlight of our visit to Japan. Highly recommended for people who enjoy stays in quieter villages. We will return."

"It was very clean. The room and facilities were beautifully kept and very new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However we were surprised at the extra charges for two futons for our children at ¥3000 a piece as well as the ¥3000 late arrival fee, which made it much more expensive than we originally thought. Also, we would have liked to have booked one of the other rooms via Expedia, but it said that none were available on our date however, upon arrival, we were the only guest there so he...

"Very good place and hospitality. "

"I have tried my best to contact the property via different means, including email them, message them via Expedia and contact via the Expedia agent, But they didn’t respond at all!!!!"

"客室も綺麗でコーヒーがサービスなのは ありがたいと思いました。"

"Absolutely fabulous stay in Kocho, with particularly traditional ryokan with kaiseki dinner and breakfast. It embraces the natural greenery in the surroundings - constituting holistic experience that I have never had before."

"We arrived to find a hotel that had misplaced our reservation, that could either be their fault or the fault of Travelocity. When we were finally escorted to a room, it was run down and filthy. There were stains on the walls and doors, the hallways had a faint smell of disuse and mildew, it was entirely unpleasant. Now, I'm well aware that we had selected this place because of its lower room rates (compared to the other onsen in the area), but truth be told, the price wasn't that much lower...

"Good Service, good staffs, good meals, everything is good"

"This was such an amazing room with everything you could possibly need. The private onsen was beautiful. They left complimentary drinks and PJ's too. Our only regret was that we only stayed 1 night. "

"Clean, welcoming, very nice onsen experience."

"The property is very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. The dinner is excellent. The dishes included lots of local seafood, beef and produces."

"Hotel staff is passionated and their dining is high quality. Nothing much nearby so stay in the hotel to enjoy their program and facility"

"Very welcoming staff and delicious meals. The private onsen in room and club lounge were also nice. "

"ネットや施設情報では21時30分まで夕食時間と書いており、２０時５分に着くと予約状況で営業時間を早めたと言われ２０時までで食べれなかった。予約状況等で営業時間が変わるなら前日までに何かしら連絡が欲しかった。常識的に１時間３０分も一方的にに早めるのは異常だと思う。勧められた店に家族４人自費で食べに行き、しっかりと夕食付きのプラン料金取るなんて詐欺だと思った。"

"Our room was spacious and very clean. The private onsen was large and very comfortable, looking out over the river but completely private. We had the kaiseki dinner each night which was elaborate and delicious. The town of Yamanaka is very pretty with fun row of shops specialising in lacquer wear and pottery, some cafes, the usual restaurants and a big public men's and women's bath, along with a beautiful walk in the gorge along the river. All of this is within 5-15 minutes walk of the hotel....

"The breakfast is very good and is worth the price with excellent food choices for an early start."
