Granny`s Cottage at Yandoit

Welcome to Granny`s Cottage. This is the second building featured on Restoration Australia bringing the former Gervasoni Swiss-Italian buildings on site back to their former glory.
This is a heritage listed property has been lovingly restored with beautiful vistas inside and out.
Enjoy toasty warmth in winter with open fire and hydronic heating in Winter and a very cool converted cellar in Summer inside. The beautiful views from the deck are perfect for a bbq or enjoying the spa.

Our property has three heritage listed stone buildings restored for residential use. There are also picturesque ruins still around which are accessible.
Granny’s Cottage is fully self contained with full size kitchen and lounge area under an exposed shingle roof on the first floor. The former cellar has exposed beams and is very snug. It is a shared sleeping area with the queen size bed separated from the double-single bunks by a well stocked bookshelf. A lovely old miners couch is suitable for a child (but would struggle accomodating an adult).
The cottage opens on to a large deck area with spa available for private use of guests. The deck is surrounded by gardens.
The adjacent Blacksmiths Villa building can be booked separately to accommodate more guests.

Granny’s cottage is fully yours. It opens on to large deck area.
The deck has gas BBQ, spa and great table to enjoy stunning views of the surroundings bush and local kangaroos.
Pets are welcome but not on furniture. The property is well set back from the road. We have chickens, donkeys and highland cows on the property so dogs must be under control at all times.

We are around if you need us. We are happy to chat or equally happy to give space to enjoy our tranquil setting.

We are about 20 minutes from Daylesford and 25 minutes from Castlemaine. Great coffee, cakes and meals can be sourced nearby in both Newstead and Guildford.
Yandoit itself does not have any shops.
What is does have us stunning scenery, plenty of wildlife and great country roads for strolling about or riding your bike.
We are centrally located to nearly everywhere.

It’s about a $50 taxi fare from Daylesford.
Please leave Granny`s Cottage as you found it.
No glassware is allowed in the spa area, please use plastic only. Nothing but humans is allowed in the spa - definitely no detergent, bubble bath etc.
Pets are owner’s responsibility at all times and are not allowed on furniture or beds.
