The Hotel Concord

"This hotel is very conveniently located right in the heart of downtown, across from the State Capitol, attached to a great steakhouse, and across from a fun and funky place to have breakfast if you choose (thought the hotel offers breakfast as well). We had an outstanding meal at the steakhouse next door on a Saturday afternoon, and would highly recommend it. It was a very fun, classy and convivial environment and the staff was very friendly. Rooms are very large and spacious, with HUGE bathrooms and showers. Plenty of room to spread out. If you have a vehicle with you, take advantage of dropping your luggage off in front of the hotel before you park. Parking in the attached structure is included, but it is shared by other tenants of the building and there are designated areas for hotel guests. It's a little bit confusing to find it and park in the correct area, and there are some steps to enter the hotel that are a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage. Other than that, our stay was delightful!"

"Had a couple of issues requiring maintenance in the room. Notified front desk. Next day "someone" knocked on the door but didn't announce themselves. I hollared, "Just a minute, but when I reached the door, whoever it was had left. I am disabled and use a walker so it takes me longer to get across the room than others might, but they could have hung around a few extra seconds. The next day, same thing. Someone knocked, no announcement, were gone when I got to the door. The front desk saw me with my walker when I checked in and should have noted the room so staff would know to wait. Issues finally fixed on third day of stay, after a third knocking, then an attempt to enter room by key. They walked away without entering when they heard noises (my electric toothbrush) from inside. I then made an additional notification to the front desk. My point is, department knocking on door should announce themselves when knocking and wait more than 2 seconds for a response."

"Loved staying at The Centennial. Lovely neighborhood w parks, academics, restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly and accommodating, even for folks traveling with dogs. Fresh coffee, pastries and yogurt for breakfast were delicious. Spacious room with crisp clean sheets. Highly recommend it!"

"It's a good location near Mt. Sunapee and close to Sunapee harbor. Hotel has an indoor pool, which we did not use. Be prepared to check in using your phone because there is no one is going to greet you at reception. There is a phone you can pick up and call customer service if you can't figure out how to check out on your phone. "

"Was impressed with cleanliness of the room and how up-to-date everything was. Only needed housekeeping on one day, when we get back to the room, it was prepped as if new again. The staff was very friendly and kept everything impeccably clean. Definitely recommend staying here."

"Thorough charming, atmospheric and memorable. The house looks like the set of Clue, and it's wonderful to imagine yourself in a country estate a century earlier. Breakfast was excellent, staff were lovely, and we had a great time."

"Pros Clean room, lots of common space, working pool, great location off of the highway and close to town. Cons No free coffee or anything besides warm water, Starbucks was expensive even for Starbucks, hot tub looked like it had been broken for a long time, and staff talked about customers behind their backs after getting off the phone. Overall Solid good to okay hotel. Nothing really bad or really special about it."
