We enjoyed the heated pool after a long day of driving. Check in and out was easy. Room was clean and comfy. The only thing that would be nice to add would be a complimentary breakfast, but since we headed out early for the ferry, it really wasn’t a big deal.

Excellent stay at the Rodd Grand and will definitely stay when crossing to Nova Scotia. Everyone was so friendly and Gale Resturant has excellent food. Overall a great experience at the hotel.

Just stayed for a night and we’ve never been there before. We were happily surprised. Staff was friendly and outgoing. Room was very clean, tub was clean, grout white and the room smelled fine. Pool looked clean as well even though we didn't use it. Overall it was nice and exceeded expectations.

I stayed at this hotel after getting off the ferry from Bar Harbor. I am glad I did because the ferry gets in relatively late. Hotel was perfect and convenient before my taking off to drive across Nova Scotia the next day. Room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was just basic. There was only one waitress to take care of lots of visitors but she tried her very best. If I return to Nova Scotia via ferry again, I will definitely stay here again.

Great location for walking to restaurants and the waterfront. Front desk staff were very friendly upon check in. Room was clean but decor was outdated and some pieces of furniture were quite stained ( lampshades and chair). The room was a good size and had a nice view. Not a restful sleep due to noise of the heating/cooling system and the sounds of coughing from the person in the next room. Lots of room for parking outside.
