"Thecroom and the resort is gorgeous but I think overpriced. I paid a lot of money for this resort and expected absolute excellence. The food was very hit and miss however the breakfast was good. First night I ordered barramundi with garlic mash potato, beans and pea ragou. I received fish and plain mash smothered in a thick mushroom sauce. I can’t eat mushrooms so they just scraped it off... "everything is made to make you feel welcome, the staff is wonderful, from the cleaners to the pool technician, the cooks , the people at the reception and the manager, thank you all for this lovely stay! the place is a little paradise on earth, the rooms, the restaurant, the swimming pool, the location, one of the best place we ever stay. 2 steps away from the beach, jungle, shopping, restaurants etc.., but away from the busy main street. will defitinely come back!"

"At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."
