"Bed was comfy, shower was hot, staff were brilliant and the food was really nice too. Excellent breakfast all included in the price too which means it's really good value... Carpets were a bit grubby, but on the whole an excellent place to stay if you're in the area."

"Stayed two nights for a long weekend, perched on the edge of Highclere Castle for our visit. Quite close to the A34, but even though our room was on that side we had no traffic noise. Nice little room upstairs in the cottage next door. Breakfast was included and that was excellent. Also had two evening meals, sample photos attached. Chef is very talented. Would happily return."

"It's a very pleasant pub/hotel. Friendly staff. Extremely close to Highclere Castle. The food was excellent. The only negative aspect was the bathroom. The shower cabinet is very small and vert high up, making it very hard in and out safely. Also there are not enough power points in the room. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!"

"A great place with lovely staff. We stayed as we were going to Bombay Sapphire, the staff we very helpful with telling us that the bus was the best option at just £2 and the bus stop is just opposite the pub. The evening food was good, breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. "

"It’s a lovely place just set off a B road. A little tired in areas and the rooms are not very sound proof you can hear everyone else in your area. However the staff were really good and the breakfast was brilliant as was the price"

"Was just a stopover on a motorcycle road trip and the Swan was perfectly fine stop clean and all I needed with out of the way parking for the bike. Staff were nice and helpful, had an OK, average breakfast in the morning. I also ate here the evening of my stay and this was not great, perhaps between chefs 🤔"

"We stayed at The Dundas when attending a wedding nearby, and it was just lovely. Wonderful staff, super friendly. Our room was great, the bed was so comfortable and I didn’t want to get out of it! Beautiful surroundings by the canal, we had a lovely private patio out to the water. Hoping to return for lunch in warmer weather!"

"Really decent for what it was. It's super close to and in the middle of the city center for Reading so it was a lot easier to get places because it's also close to the freeways. There's a polish market right next door and bank which made it super easy to get stuff in a pinch. I wish the network was better because it was super laggy. The place was alright it was like a 90s blast from the past three big old tv that you can't stream to and the furniture but I mean for the price it was great to...

"Perfect location in Reading. Short walk to the town center, shopping, dining and the train station. The apartment was nice but was in need of some maintenance. Definitely above average compared to other locations at the same price."
