"Fabulous stay!!! Everything was perfect! We were there over Easter weekend and booked it for a family getaway as well as for my son’s proposal to his girlfriend at Wiseman’s View. Accommodations were great, beds were comfortable, views and proximity to the river was amazing, kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, and I just can’t say enough great things about this place!! Also, the owner was very responsive and answered any and all questions. We are making plans already to return! "

"I never leave reviews. I do a lot of solo traveling, and have stayed in many motels. I just need a clean bed and shower for the night. I booked for 2 nights since I was hiking in area. Room smelled like stale smoke so I asked for a different room, they had none available unless I wanted to pay $10 more for a different room.. they finally were able to “find” me one for same price of $100. for one night. The room was dirty, literally dirt on the walls. shower was unusable because of mold on shower head. Sheets didn’t fit on bed kept coming off mattress. Coffee maker had scum build-up in reservoir. Unusable. Microwave was missing a leg on bottom so I had to use a coffee packet to level it , wasn’t drinking it anyway. In all the places I’ve stayed, I’ve Never had such an experience And had 2 nights to deal with it… "

"There’s a reason this place has almost all 10 out of 10 reviews. Absolutely gorgeous cabin right above a beautiful river. It is a little workout to get down to the river and back, but worth it. Newly redone trail. We played around in the water, despite the cold temperatures. Spotted a bald eagle, played foosball, pool table, karaoke, games, puzzles, etc. Some great hiking and waterfalls within 20 or 25 minutes drive. Cabin was so well designed w high ceilings, big kitchen, huge decks, etc. "

"Great property, secluded enough to feel like you’re away from it all but close enough to not be isolated, very comfortable and well appointed. The arcade machine turned on but the controls would not work, other than that no complaints whatsoever. "

"We had a wonderful getaway at Doug’s way! The house had everything we needed for a full week stay. Conveniently located and the views can’t be beat. I would 100% recommend this home and will look forward to planning a return trip one day!"
