Friendly and useful staff, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, the cottage was spacious and clean, and supplied with sufficient equipment (including a recent dishwasher and quite comfortable beds). Only 20 minutes away from Amsterdam if you fancy a visit , but Volendam itself is definitely worth exploring. We highly recommend this place ."

"Christina’s place was wonderful. Very cute apartment, perfect size for 2 people. It has everything one needs for a longer stay in Amsterdam. The apartment is in a great location, with a view of a canal. A super market (Jumbo) is a few blocks away, it was very convenient. The washer/dryer was another great amenity. What was also nice, a street light was right in front of the apartment, made it nice to enter after dark. Plus the rate was very reasonable for that area. Highly recommend...

"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. I was with a family of 5, and none of us had ever rowed a boat a day in our lives. Had i known this upfront i would never have booked this lodge. THIS ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH...

The location was great as we could walk into centre to enjoy seeing the sights, yet return in evening to a beautifully quiet location. "The Grand Hotel Amrâth is an incredible historic hotel. It is very centrally located near Central train station. My room on the 3rd floor had high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canal. Absolutely gorgeous! They have many original museum pieces from when they were a shipping house in the early 1900’s. I truly enjoyed my stay. I would say my only complaint would be that they did not have a ramp to bring luggage up the front stairs. The bellman does help if he is waiting in front but if not, pretty challenging. Have some great videos of my room but unfortunately won’t upload on the site "
