Malta

Great house and pool. Clean and nice kitchen appliances. Close to airport, Valletta and other key attractions on the island. Our contact, Charmaine was very helpful..answered all of our questions about the island, transportation and the accommodations. They even stocked our fridge for a reasonable fee, which was awesome!!

Fantastic Villa

The Villa is spacious and presented to the highest standard. Wonderful decor and well equipped kitchen. Air conditioning system kept the villa cool when it was really hot outside, which was nice. We really liked the large swimming pool which was really good for games as well as exercise. Plenty of outside space in pleasant surroundings, and a BBQ which we made good use of. The maintenance team kept everything in good order and responded quickly when we had an issue with one of the keys. The villa is in a quiet location, and outside the local village so you definitely need a car. There isn't that much in easy walking distance. We expect to come back!

Lovely place

Spent a week there in October and very much enjoyed it. Beautiful house and stunning view. The manager was amazing, she was there for us every time we needed her help. The only thing I think could made our stay better was heated pool. The water in the pool was cold.

Gorgeous property, perfect for a family or three couples. :Lovely setting in a small town close to the Blue Grotto and not too far from Valetta. Check-in was easy and the property manager always responded promptly to my questions. I would highly recommend this property!!

Return inevitable as needed more time

A true oasis for relaxing in luxury. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to escape. The photos don’t do the property justice...5 bathroom, 3 bedrooms with on-suite shower & toilet, powder room & poolside shower with toilet, high end all Bosch kitchen appliances. Truly fantastic place, enjoyed by 3 generations! Literally cannot wait to return.

Beautiful, well appointed.

We enjoyed our stay in this villa. The property and grounds are maintained to a very high standard; there are plenty of loungers and benches in the garden which would be enjoyed in the warmer weather. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the privacy you get in this property; not overlooked at all. We don’t usually return to the same place, however, we would consider returning here to enjoy the lovely pool in a summer.

Lovely villa and amazing views, helpful owners

Love the villa and the views you get, we absolutely loved our time here. The owners were very friendly and gave us some useful tips and advice, and quick to sort out a few issues we had. Would definately stay again (once the roadworks are done!) :)

Beautiful villa in quiet location

Six-star Malta!

This is quite an extraordinary property. Undoubtably Malta's finest self-catering holiday experience. The quality of this accommodation and its magnificent hill-top location are matched only by the professionalism and hospitality of its hosts. Access to an immaculately presented private pool was probably the highlight for us during summer, but the spacious, air-conditioned interior with plush and tasteful furnishings was also so welcoming after a hot day's sightseeing. The theme here is luxury and space, allowing you to focus on engaging in all the island has to offer and returning to a villa at the cutting edge of relaxation. This home can not be recommended too highly!

Brilliant villa, amazing pool and views!

We booked the villa for a girly holiday - we had the best time. The villa is clean and spacious, Each room has an en suite. Living space and dining table were just the perfect size for us. The kitchen was well equipped, we made breakfast there every morning. The pool area is fab! The views are absolutely gorgeous. There is a garden area too, great for people who have kids. We had rented 2 cars which was useful to roam around and explore the island and most sights were less than half an hour away. Thanks Charmaine and Janice for the patience with all our questions and for being so helpful. Would totally recommend!

Family Holiday on May 2018

This was our first time in Malta, having hitherto always rented villas in Spain. We were surprised that there were so few supermarkets in the immediate vicinity. The villa and the grounds were beautiful, the pool very well maintained. Unfortunately it was still too cool and too windy for us (May). Each bedroom has its own bathroom and its own air conditioning, which is really handy. Unfortunately the bathroom fittings were partly moldy and in need of repair. The kitchen has a well-functioning gas stove, a good microwave and an oven. On the whole, the kitchen is mediocre. Unfortunately, the oven was totally dirty, probably never cleaned (we have never encountered such a thing). Malta is not so big, so that you can easily reach everything with the rental car or bus network. But do not rent a car that is too big ... The landlords are always available and very helpful. The garbage is regularly disposed of and technical problems immediately someone is there. The gate to the property was once again not open and no 10 minutes later, the caretaker was already on the spot and has everything repaired. On the whole a very good property, only with the bathrooms (mold) and oven (very dirty) we were very disappointed, as the holiday was really very expensive.

Beautiful villa in a peaceful village.

This beautiful, spacious villa provided the perfect base for a lovely holiday. It is set in a quiet village which is perfect for the type of holiday that we needed. You do need a car and a good sat nav to get around adequately. The villa itself is very clean and well stocked with several luxuries to make it a home from home. We really appreciated having the Bluetooth speaker in the living area. The pool area was also much appreciated, though in March the weather was still a little too cool to fully use the pool but warm enough to enjoy sitting around the pool in the sun. There are good local supermarkets with all that is needed for self-catering. We wish we had planned to stay longer and would definitely visit again.

Fabulous home to relax during your visit to Malta

We loved our stay at Villa Munqar! Janice & Charmaine at the Baldacchino Group were a pleasure to work with during the whole rental process. The villa is in a private setting but easily accessible to all of Malta. 3 large ensuite bedrooms. Wide open home and very well taken care of. Lots of natural light and there is plenty of room on the deck to enjoy the outside. Given we where there in December, the villa was a little cooler at night than expected given it's a stone building and there were constant winds coming off the ocean. Only a 6 minute drive over to the Blue Grotto area where there is a beautiful overlook and some great restaurants, specifically Cassarini Restaurant. The food and staff were absolutely delightful at Cassarini's.

Beautiful villa with stunning views

2 weeks at Villa Munqar June /July 2017. Of the many villas we have taken over the years Villa Munqar is one of the highest quality. The furnishings inside and out were of a high standard and the pool simply perfect. Dorothy and the team were helpful but never intrusive. Zurieq itself is quiet, but you are only 20 min drive from Valletta so the best of both worlds. We don't often return to the same villa but might be making an exception this time.

Private location, outstanding views!

My wife and I stayed here over the New Year with two other couples, and it was great! The villa has three bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom/shower. There is a Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, plus a half bathroom off the dining room, and even a full bathroom and sauna in the pool house. It is great for families or groups. The location is a little remote at the end of a bumpy road, but nothing is too far away in Malta. It was only a few minutes to the nearest small grocery store, less than 10 minutes to the airport, and 20 minutes from Valletta. The surroundings are very quiet, and so is the house. A crying baby in one room didn't disturb the sleepers in another, and the house is within a secure courtyard with private parking protected by a motorized gate. The kitchen is open very well equipped, and the house even came with extra amenities like a high chair, a crib, and a PlayStation 3! The infinity pool is beautiful by itself, and there is a spectacular 180+ degree view of the island and the ocean. After a 5 minute walk down the street, you can even see the Blue Grotto. We were already talking about our next trip to Malta before we left! The customer service from the owner was great from start to finish, and our deposit was returned in full the day after we left.

Secluded oasis

The property was in excellent shape and appropriately appointed for a rental. The pool was refreshing with a view over a big swath of Maltese countryside. We stayed here with our three children and had plenty of room. Each of the three bedroom suites was modern and well furnished with private en-suite bathrooms. The house was tastefully decorated while also child safe enough for our one and three year olds. In terms of opportunities, the sauna was inconvenient, as we would have needed to arrange with the owner 24 hours ahead of when we wanted to use it, We would have much preferred clear instructions and the ability to use it ad hoc. The location of the property is both a positive (relatively secluded and private) and an opportunity (down a rough road that made it unappealing to leave the house on foot). The gated grounds of the property itself were practical and well maintained. Eating a meal on the patio as the sun goes down is a relaxing experience!

Great Villa

We were impressed with the villa, it was just as it appeared on the website and it suited the 6 of us perfectly. We would like to thank Janice and the office staff for their help during our stay. On arrival the pool was a little cloudy, this was rectified the same day and Janice helped us print our return flight boarding passes. A cafetiere in the kitchen and another 2 seater settee in the lounge would be good. The location was great, out of the village with panoramic views. We would recommend the villa to our friends and family. Thanks again for making it a great holiday.
