Slice of Heaven 3/2 camp on lakefront w/ boathouse

Lake House on Toledo Bend situated on Lanan Bay with easy access from Louisiana & Texas. Excellent fishing spots with an abundance of crappie (sac-a-lait) spots as well as bream, catfish, and many species of bass to be hooked. For the avid hunter, the surrounding area offers plenty of excellent hunting opportunities. Other amenities include Cypress Bend Golf Club, a beautiful 18-hole championship course with a waterfront layout offering spectacular views of Toledo Bend. The adjoining Cypress Bend Park offers a sandy beach to lay back and relax. For the young at heart, the brand-new Toledo Bend Family Adventure Park will offer a water park, mini golf and many more fun filled family times.
Located in a friendly neighborhood subdivision directly on Toledo Bend Reservoir in Louisiana. The neighborhood has two boat launches, and the property comes complete with a large boat house. Boat lifts are not working but u can tie up.
There are local convenience stores offering gasoline, tackle and bait. A selection of restaurants, grocery stores, a hardware store and tackle store are located 10 minutes from the property.
Property
The property offers an extensive master bedroom with king size bed and ample closet space. The en-suite master bathroom offers a walk-in shower. There are a further two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with two twin beds, and a full bathroom. The open living space offers plenty of room to cook, eat and relax. Outside you will find a covered carport large enough for two cars and a covered front porch to relax and watch the world go by. Adjoining the property is an enclosed sunroom complete with heating/cooling, reclining leather sofas and a large screen HDTV, perfect for watching the big game or a favorite movie. Attached to the sunroom is an open deck, great for grilling or just taking in views of the boat house and those spectacular Toledo Bend sunsets. The expansive back yard is gently sloped, perfect for letting the kids run free or to setup a rental inflatable water slide. The yard has an enclosed area, perfect for keeping your pet confined.
The property offers Wi-Fi, HDTVs in all rooms, Kitchen cookware & utensils, Washer/Dryer, essential linens, HVAC, smoke & Carbon monoxide alarms.

Great fishing getaway

The house was very nice and clean.. Quiet safe area. Plenty of room to park 2 boats. The lady who cleans is very nice and friendly. How was fully equipped with any thing needed. No complaints.

Enjoyed our stay at slice of heaven. Cozy yet comfortable. Fenced yard for our pup to run around in. Came for fishing and wasn’t disappointed. Very relaxing, peaceful, and the sunsets were amazing. Would definitely book another stay - maybe longer next time.

Great location for fishing tournament lodging

We enjoyed our stay, the boathouse is a major plus and our teen sons loved the little “guest house”. My son caught two huge bass off the deck too!

Week getaway with my dog

Went kayaking , hiking at north Toledo state park and fish at the dock. The dock, man cave and fence for the dogs were the selling point. The owners were very responsive and place is clean. The only thing I can think of is bringing a shower floor mat for the guest bathroom since it’s a tad slippery for clumsy me. Other than that it was exactly like I pictured it.

Family Reunion

We enjoyed our stay, it was just right for our visit with other family and friends for an early Fourth of July at another location that was very close and convenient. But while there the kids enjoyed the extra TV room and we all enjoyed the pier for fishing and relaxing!

Hidden Gem!

The home was very spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. The Boat house is AMAZING. It made spending time with our large family fishing and swimming perfect! The kids and the hubby loved the mancave. And the fire pit was a great addition for smores. Very peaceful and private. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Clean, beautiful, well appointed

Great view, everything you need for day to day living is there and all good quality. Doc is fantastic, views of the lake are beautiful. Just a great place to really sit, relax, fish, boat, whatever you want to do. Theater room is excellent, it let's some of your party stay up and be loud and the rest sleep. All in all a fantastic home and we will be back.

Great Place ro Relax

The home was clean there was plenty of space doe the 2 of us. Pillows were a little hard if tou like soft pillows Id recommend bringing your own. Dock was comfy to fish from as it provided plenty of shade. If tou visit and decid to dine out We had really good Mexican food at Wl Pario (15 minutes away)

Anniversary fishing weekend

We loved our stay at a Slice of Heaven!! We got away for 2 nights to do 2 fishing charters for our anniversary! This was our first getaway without our 2 year old so it was nice to relax on the pier and watch the sunset! The only problem was that we didn’t have enough time to stay at the camp and relax! The sectional couch was so comfortable and I’m sad I couldn’t sit on it longer! We only used the master bedroom and bath but the mattress was soft and very comfortable! Only complaint was that it was very loud when the heater kicked on at night. Not sure if the unit was near the master or if it’s just the design but it woke us up a couple times the first night. The place was very clean and had plenty dishes, small appliances, etc. After learning the owners late father was from our same area, we researched their Dad and learned how wonderful of a man he was! Thank you for sharing his slice of heaven with us and we hope to be back in the future with the rest of the family! Jamie and Paul M

Quite and Beautiful

We had a great time at Ally’s place. The communication was super easy and quick. The pictures do not do the view justice. We were able to fish everyday with easy access to our boat. The neighborhood has 2 boat launches, both very well built and one is a deep water launch. The neighborhood is quiet and the next door neighbor was sweet enough to share fishing advice (which are usually top secret in the fishing world). The home is well stocked and super clean! Most comfortable away from home bed I believe I’ve ever slept in. t is close enough to restaurants and stores for convenience so you can eat out or pick up steaks for the grill. The internet is fabulous as I am a bit of a workaholic and never like to be disconnected completely. I can’t wait to go back and will definitely be staying here again.

Great place to spend a week

The host communicated very well. The house was clean and well stocked. There was plenty of room to park my truck and boat with a power receptacle close enough for me to charge my batteries at night after fishing all day. The dock was great. Plenty of room and even though the lake was down several feet, we caught fish from the dock. We liked that the dock had LED rope lights to light the walkway as well as the end of the dock where we fished. The bed in the master was very comfortable and there were ample outlets in the room to charge devices. Great shower with a seat that my wife used. Overall, this is one of my favorite VRBO places to stay, and we have been using VRBO for many years. The only thing I would add is a pizza pan to the kitchen. The Wi-Fi was fairly quick and the TV had plenty of channels to surf at night when we finally came in after great days of fishing Toledo Bend. This location isn’t fancy, but it has everything needed for a great vacation. A couple of tips for vacationers. Hemphill BBQ, about a twenty minute drive is very good as is Fisherman’s Galley, which is even closer. We even got to play with a neighbors dog, Shadow. She was fun and loved to chase the frisbee.
