This property is a great value in an area that has high-end destination resorts. The staff was very helpful and was able to get us into our room immediately, even though we arrived early. Our room was spacious and clean. We appreciated the peaceful, quiet setting, and the view that overlooked the Aegean. The restaurant is located by the pool that also has a 180degree view of the sea as it sits on a hill side. Breakfast was included, and the food overall was good.We would book this hotel again.

I was double charged by Expedia - they scam and when double charged take for ever to repay the money. I am waiting now to be refunded for the double charge but have not heard back from them although me email to Expedia was on March 25, 2026.. Dodgy slippery company-

The resort itself is amazing. Staff is great too! But here comes the issues - extremely loud environment, unruly children running around(I have a 6 year old boy, but he has never been allowed to act like all other children), no adult supervision until early morning hours, security doesn’t do anything, parents don’t care! The parents drink until 3 am and shout, not talk in the common areas. The disco music is extremely loud, windows and walls are thin! And around 3 am when you think that you can get sleep the cleaning crew starts moving tables and the sound is horrible! Air conditioning is set to 23 C and you can’t adjust it lower. It’s monitored and managed by guest relations. Get a higher floor room not over pool to avoid the disturbance. The food is so so. Don’t even waste your time with the A La Cart restaurants especially the Asian one - you will be waiting for something that has nothing to do with sushi or Mongolian beef, tasteless small portions. You are better off eating at the Sunset main buffet style restaurant. Variety is ok. The other good restaurant is the 24/7 one in the end of the resort Waterworld. Coffee shop and patisserie’s are good. The beach is so so - has some rocks in the beginning and sand afterwards. Very small! The pool facilities are great - they get very crowded and people are keeping sun lounges from 8 am with their towels. The best part of our trip was the spa center - amazing massage options and facials. Old town Side is a must visit!

Property was ok they were fixing many areas but overall ok

The Salmakis Resort & Spa was an enticing place but little things meant that it didn't deserve its 5 star rating. The WiFi did not work in the hotel room, only in the restaurant and reception areas, which was very frustrating and inconvenient. When we arrived there was one area through which everyone had to walk to access other areas of the hotel, which had a large pallet loaded with what seemed to be large boxes of machinery. Over our stay this pallet was gradually unloaded but the boxes were just moved to corridors outside the hotel rooms on various levels. There was evidence of damage to some of the mosaics set into walkways and repairs were needed to the steps from our room down to the pool area. In my hotel room, there was no plug for the bathroom basin, meaning to shave it was necessary to keep running the water - a waste of resources. There was no toilet roll holder beside the toilet, just a couple of toilet rolls sitting on a shelf beneath the hand basin. The beach towels were obviously quite old as many of them were frayed at the edges. In all, whilst we enjoyed our stay there it definitely was not worth a 5 star rating.
