Sardinia Beach Holidays

This was a nice resort although the facilities were not great. We wanted to play tennis but that was €15 per session and it’s only for a few hours during the day. Also there was no one there to provide the rackets and ball. There are no kettles or coffee/tea facilities in the room or anywhere else, so that was very annoying. The good thing were the private beaches and free watersport facilities.

That is a hidden gem in Alghero area with its beautiful private beach and clear water. My wife and I have enjoyed our stay for sure. Pros: - Amazing beach which is the most important thing for us - Wonderful view from our ocean view room - Very friendly and helpful staff very well trained from front desk to bars, restaurants and house keeping - Renovated bathroom with great waterfall shower head - Great service - Mice pool - Cleanliness - Proximity to Alghero down town which is great for sight seeing and local experiences Cons: - Bed and mattress were uncomfortable due to double bed and not king size. - No complimentary Nespresso machine in room - No room service after certain time - Not too many food options. Most likely you will want to try surrounding restaurants Would advise to rent a car and have it with you so you can drive around easily if you need to go somewhere and most likely you will for dinning, excursions...etc. We did that and it was very helpful. Will we do it again. Definitely yes!

The location is definitely a highlight — just a short 15-minute walk from Alghero’s charming old town and set right along the coastline, offering lovely sea views. The property itself is well-maintained. The breakfast spread was good, with a decent variety to choose from, and the swimming pool area was nice for a relaxed afternoon. That said, the experience felt more transactional than truly hospitable — something you wouldn’t typically expect at a 5-star level. While everything functioned well, it lacked the warmth, attentiveness, and personalization that elevate a hotel stay from good to exceptional. If you’re looking for a conveniently located property with a solid baseline of amenities, this hotel delivers. But if you’re expecting a truly luxurious, service-driven 5-star experience, you might find it a bit underwhelming

I would not rate the rooms as 4 star but a 3 star Shower is small not many toiletries for use Very noisy late at night and early morning !!!

Property beautiful but definitely a 3-4 star. Lots of bugs in rooms. All the amenities of 5 star hotels not included. Food at all services not great. Beautiful beach! Myself and children did not like the hotel. Guest services did not know the area or restos - rarely there.

One of our best stays ever in Italy!

The Best Hotel Residence Italia is a great option if you're planning on visiting Cagliari and Quartu Sant Elena, or even for a stop over before moving on to other places in sout east Sardinia. It's super close to the Poetto beach, you can either walk there (15 minutes) and see the beatiful flamingos in the lagoon or take a bus (bus stop across the street) and get there in less than 3 minutes. The hotel is modern and clean. Our room was spacious and spotless as well as super quiet. There are many didining options within walking distance, and the breakfast buffet was great! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back :)
