8.6/10 Excellent! (1,000 reviews)
I had zero issues while staying here. The room was clean and was maintained throughout the week I was there. Staff was super nice when I needed them. The area is nice and is directly next to Eonju Station so getting around is very easy. There were plenty other amenities that I didn't need to use so for some people those will likely also be a big plus. This was my first time travelling outside my home country and there was not single moment where I felt unsafe while staying here. Very affordable too! 1000% recommend staying here.

9.6/10 Exceptional! (1,001 reviews)
I booked a 4-night stay with my kids expecting the luxury hospitality I’ve had at other InterContinental properties, but it was a major disappointment.
Check-in was incredibly frustrating. I watched staff warmly welcome the guests ahead of us, thoroughly explaining facilities and providing maps. When it was our turn, the interaction was completely cold and transactional. We weren't shown to the elevators, and when I asked how to access the COEX mall, a staff member curtly told me to "scan a QR code" and figure it out myself. It felt like we were being treated differently in a highly negative way.
The failures continued with housekeeping. One day, we returned at 4:00 PM to an uncleaned room. I called the front desk, and they later called back specifically to blame me, claiming I left the electronic "Do Not Disturb" sign on, which I had not. I then found a letter on the desk stating a hotel-wide power outage the night before had caused the DND system to malfunction! It is baffling that a luxury hotel would blame a guest rather than acknowledge their own known technical issues.
Despite the great location, this hotel fell far short of its premium price tag and its five-star competitors. I would not stay here again.
