Clean room with all the amenities needed and nice to have a bath. Attractive reception, lounge and bar areas. The internal fire doors were a little difficult to negotiate with heavy luggage and only 1 very small lift which didn't go to the same level or wing as our room. Some of the reception staff could be a little more courteous and helpful.

Great venue, lovely room, curteous team and the food was great. The cheeseboard was expensive, but otherwise the value was really good.
All in all, this venue has earned a really strong recommendation, and I'll certainly look to revisit when next in the area.

Very comfortable stay, large room with lovely view. Large bathroom with large bath. Highly convenient service area to make tea/coffee and breakfast. Very clean. Historic property with beautiful lounge area. Excellent parking in safe location. Highly convenient to travel to Liverpool and Birkenhead whilst staying in a rural location.

Clean and simple hotel in an excellent location in the middle of the action. The hotel does not have a proper entrance to be picked up or dropped off. You have a 5 minute walk down the alley to get to the entrance of hotel, which I personally found inconvenient. Especially when you have luggage or it’s raining.
Also, sadly we were next to the elevator, so we could totally hear the elevators going up and down very early in the morning.
