Everything good but strange not to see any staff

Good location, friendly efficient staff, good prices and comfortable.

The place is a gem - - hidden but a treasure to behold. For those wanting some peace or ‘off grid’ (kind of), this is the place to be. It is close to a river and I was told they have a library that can be accessed by the visitors. For a nominal fee, one can learn a bit of history of the monastery. Their restaurant prepares excellent meal. Their 9 course is a must try. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. If you need a transfer or ride to or from the monastery, the staff can arrange it. If given another chance, I will stay again at Monte Pacis. I love the feel of being in a historic place such as this. I definitely recommend this place to everyone even if you are only to stay one night. Their local tour guide was very knowledgeable. Overall I had fun being in this place.

The quality of rooms is varied to say the least. On some occassions, excellent, but this time, whilst the room had character, it was in quite a sad (and potentially dangerous) state. I think the hotel was overbooked, as breakfast was very chaotic too.

Amazing hotel and service. Great location - we loved walking at night with all the Christmas lights and festivities around. Breakfast had a good range of options - it’s a self service but we liked that. Would recommend for a festive break.
