From the outside the property looked dilapidated and the inside wasn’t much better!! The reception had been updated and the guy on reception was very welcoming. Our room was outdated and needed a thorough renovation and deep clean. Bathroom was clean ish. Definitely wouldn’t stay again - we were pleased the stay was for only one night.

Great location, big rooms

Nice hotel, staff were pleasant on check in. Room easy to find. I like the darker look of the room, it’s easier for me to sleep. However unfortunately we didn’t sleep very well as the room was just so hot. There was a desk fan thankfully, it’s just unfortunate that the weather was warm & so we were only pushing around hot air. Bed/pillows were comfortable. Decent sized room. Slight noise from other hotel room doors banging shut, but not much can be done about that. The location of the hotel as spot on, so good for a night out. We like concert square area so for us, location was key when booking. We’d definitely return, we got a good deal on the price & as I say, location was perfect. We got cheap over night parking just a few minutes walk away, the restaurant we wanted to dine at was no more than 10minutes walk away. There is a restaurant serving breakfasts at the hotel, we didn’t have this although it did look nice in there.

Amazing experience in Liverpool and Municipal hotel was exceptional! The staffs who service the breakfast were superb, the reception were very friendly and helpful, thank you all, we are looking forward to coming back here soon . xx

Very clean room and well equipped. Entry via keying in a code for street entry door and then room door - no staff on site, but available via telephone/messaging. Only convenience store nearby, so it is a walk to restaurants and bars etc. Close to Anglian cathedral and walking distance to town centre.

we contacted Breckfield directly to ask if we were are to park in the car park before check in. I received a reply very quickly to advise that an earlier check in had been arranged for us. Entry to the hotel was straightforward. Our room was clean and spacious. I think the hotel is a fantastic idea as it caters for groups of people travelling together to attend an event. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Anfield. Which was great after the concert had ended. The traffic was totally gridlocked, so we walked back to the hotel quicker than a taxi could have got to us.
