Cunda Island Ski Holidays

Bit of an oddity this place - it has a small pool but you can't use the hotel's towels in it. i.e you have to bring or buy your own which I have never before come across. It also says 'direct access to private beach' but it is not their private beach it's an independent one across the street and is quite expensive at 1000 lira. It's a bit like saying you have access to a Rolls-Royce, which you do, if you want to pay for it. With regard to the rooms, the suites are excellent and probably worth the upcharge but the standard rooms are the smallest I have ever seen. You can't even put your baggage down without blocking the fridge. Ask about an intermediate room which is larger and you can put your bag down. The showers in these last two rooms seem to be a bit pokey with poor drainage and some black mold. The bathroom in the suite however is massive - a double/quadruple brand new jacuzzi! A word about the towels - some of them are so rough they actually took blood from my skin so check before you use. The breakfast is ample and of the turkish variety - ie lots of stuff. Nice room with balconies and a great view. The staff seem to be bit distracted. Not sure what that's all about.

A pleasant stay, although not quite the 5-star experience we had anticipated. We enjoyed our stay overall, particularly the beautiful location and excellent breakfast, which offered an impressive variety of fresh and well-prepared options.That said, there were a few details that, in my opinion, prevented the hotel from feeling like a true 5-star property.When making our reservation, I specifically requested the renovated West Wing and two separate single beds, as I was travelling with my son.Unfortunately, this was not accommodated, and we were allocated a room with a partial sea view and two beds pushed together, despite having paid an additional amount for a sea-view room.The hotel staff were pleasant, although communication was occasionally challenging due to limited English. Daily housekeeping was provided, with only two small Nescafé sachets and two bottles of water replenished each day. The bathroom amenities were rather basic, with shampoo and shower gel provided in a combined dispenser and no conditioner. Some parts of the property are beginning to look a little tired and would benefit from refurbishment.The private beach is a platform-style beach rather than a sandy beach, with access to the sea via a ladder into deep water. There were certainly things we appreciated, especially the breakfast and the overall setting. However, based on our experience, I would personally rate the property closer to 4 stars than 5.

My friends money was stolen from our room, Staff were no help. They wouldn't allow us see cameras, management never even spoke with us only reception, they wouldn't even call the police told us to go report it ourselves so got no satisfaction. What they did tell ya was no-one had entered our room even doh the cleaner admitted she did. It was literally just 1 lie after another
