Beds were very clean and comfortable; design of the room was quirky, especially the lighting panel- loved it. "This was a pretty good place to stay, close to public transport and pubs. The room was clean and tidy, had loads of space for the bags we had, ensuite was good size, only on nitpicky thing was a coupe maintenance issues, but that didn’t effect our time there. The breakfast(if you include it) was a good spread and set us up nice for the day. "

"Stay was fine here. Hotel could do with a lick of paint and some modernising of the furniture. Positives: shower was the best I've ever had in a hotel. Staff were nice and friendly. Plenty of carparking. Negatives: bit dated. Breakfast was ok, buffet style so not amazing. It's a bit of a way out from anything, we caught the train into Glasgow town centre, about 15 minute walk to station. All in all, stay wasn't bad. It was OK. "

"Hotel rooms and staff were amazing, room coukd have been q tint but more clean is my only note, shower was dirty, as was the floor qnd the area sourounding the beds. There was chewing gum stuck to the underside of the ladder for the bubk bed that i was eye level with in the morning, when i woke up. Other than that nice little place wnd definitely would be back 👌 "

"Yeah basic room for an overnight stay, you get what you pay for. It’s a small room with a small bathroom. Handy for bus station and rail stations."

"The hotel was very clean and welcoming. The staff were lovley and friendly. We loved the fact the room had air conditioning. It was very welcomed and needed. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was lovley and quiet during the night. It was great that the ovo was within walking distnace as we were at the nickelback concert. "Absolutely fantastic hotel. Always stayed in ones in the area but never this one. Did a few weeks ago and well exceeded my expectations. Reception is great with the bar etc and the rooms are a great size and bed super comfy. Shower is nice and powerful too. I really wouldn’t hesitate staying here again and after my most recent stay it might now become my first choice for places in Glasgow "

"The Tarbet is a fine old building but has started to deteriorate, the room I requested was a Loch view but could barely see the loch for trees. I realise it had been raining but no excuse for the outside walls to be wet! The staff are pleasant and helpful and meals not bad with a good breakfast, just needs updating. "

"Nice enough hotel for a one night stay. £8.50 for breakfast is probably a bit steep, but nice enough food. Really good location for bars, restaurants etc, and good transport options to the city centre."
