stayed ath the victoria perfect location for a elaxing holiday. Accomadation was fabulous, as apartments wher to a high standard. Pools at both complexs where great, sunloungers plentiful, gym was very modern, and the in door pool looked great. Staff where very helpful and friendly. Used the spa at the TIVOLLI -very relaxing - the only down side was the treatments where a bit expensive. The courtesy bus was a great bonus, but a service between 6 and 8.30 would be beneficial. Overall great holidy - would definately return

this hotel is brilliant and we couldn't find a fault with it. The rooms are very spacious, bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast great , spa well worth a visit with daily specials at very reasonable rate. Staff very attentive and on the ball.
Outside area and pool are in tip top condition, this hotel is only open 4 years so everything is very modern. Our trip was also enhanced by wonderful weather. Will be back.!
Has a very relaxing 10 days here. Excellent staff and facilities. Breakfast available till 10.30 with a very good choice and always appetising. We had a junior suite and it was worth the extra because of the huge balcony and the sea view. We hired a car and found day trips easy to do using the motorway. Can recommend Cabo de San Vicente and Vila Real de San Antonio which are both at the extremities of the Algarve. Faro and Tavira are both lovely atmospheric places. Also went up into the hills to Monchique by way of a contrast.
Chose this hotel as it was away from the busy town etc. Got exactly what I wanted. It was lovely and quiet the pool had at most 10 people at it at one time. Pool was quite cold but you quickly got used to it.
Only issue I'd have is at lunch time. Only lunch available was at the club house. Which was fine as it was a short walk. However the menu needs to be improved. I didn't go to Portugal to eat chicken tikka masala and fish and chips every day. The option of fresh fish, vegetables and rice should always be available and not a once a week special.
Dinner is a buffet of €25 each. It's very well done and a lovely selection of food with good service.
Breakfast was the usual with the chef there to cook omelettes as requested.
At the end of my stay there was a very large group of men. Possibly a stag. They were allowed to take the conference room which is beside the games room. They were so loud on multiple nights I went back to my room to have some peace.
Overall was a good place to stay in October. If you want somewhere you can walk to the beach or the shops this is not the place for you. Ideal for peace away from the city and obviously if you enjoy golf.
4th time here over past 2 years --this time in main building in refurbished room which is very well done --no waste paper basket in bedroom ! Bit strange but small thing --as before all staff very friendly well trained and genuinely pleased to see us back --breakfast in both Whale and Bela Vita is excellent --good choice of restaurants on site as well as Arte Nautice fish restaurant on beach where wines are noticeably cheaper than in restaurants on site
We ate twice in arte nautica and adega (portugese traditional)but were a bit diappointed that Whale menu was a lot changed and to our taste not for better --it seemed that it had been made a bit posher but we missed a couple of really nice simple pasta dishes and generally Whale seemed less popular than on previous visits and not open as often for either lunch ot dinner --we asked about changes to menu but were told it was ,, result,, of research !maybe it was but we were not impressed ! We didnt fancy Aladdin which again had changed menu and seemed to have gone upin price --ate lunch at bar outside Residence and really good simple food pizza baguettes wraps and salads --all staff here were justoutstanding --really very friendly including a couple ofplacement students
My partner and I stayed in Vale de Lapa for a week (end of Sept - start of Oct) and it was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we were treated well, the service was exceptional. The hotel is quite quiet but in a great way - we found our week really relaxing. A nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Somewhere to really recharge the batteries.
We enjoyed the food and drinks - the menu is vast enough to try something new every day.
The accomodation is more than adequate, very spacious with ample furnishings and equipment.
We will definitely return and we are looking forward to booking again!
