Excellent hotel with great service Breakfast had great variety and quality and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our shower flooded the room on our first night but we were moved seamlessley to another with no problem.

The breakfast was fantastic as was the staff. The spa was well equipped and very relaxing. Two of the three days we used it we had the whole spa to ourselves. The gym equipment was all the latest and in great condition. It was a short distance to the beach for an early morning run and was deserted on the days I ran. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel

This was a gem! The hotel was quiet and beautifully simplistic. It was clean and there was an incredible spa. The food was healthy and homemade with a good variety. It was not your typical breakfast( best quality breakfast I’ve had in a long time) I would definitely go back❤️

Lovely hotel in a great location. Close to plenty of places to eat and the beach. Staff were really helpful and attentive, helped arrange boat trips and taxis for us making the whole trip a lot easier. Had a fab stay. Food at the breakfast buffet was great, lots of healthy choices and had daily specials cooked fresh. Only comment would be about cleanliness, room generally was clean but a couple of things like grouting in the shower and that the room didn’t get cleaned throughout our stay. We got fresh towels and bedding daily but nothing else in the room was cleaned. We didn’t get new glassware or have used cups/teapots removed. Not a major at all and didn’t impact our stay but felt like this would have made it feel a bit more five star. Also be aware that the shower and toilet area is in a glass box with no privacy screen 😂

The property is a health and wellness one so it has great SPA facilities included in the booking. Epsom salt room, detox and relaxation showers, indoor swimming pool was warm and jacuzzi was hot, cold swimming pool inside, sauna steam room and a meditation room - these were the best things ever! Only thing to know is breakfast was repetitive and very healthy vibes - so no English breakfast! Mainly egg based breakfast options. But it’s a great stay for the price.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel Alvor. The rooms were decent and a fair size. The hotel staff were accommodating and the spa was very relaxing. The restaurant on the property but I only ate breakfast there because it was included with my stay. The breakfast buffet was decent and the concentrated on healthier options. Only thing is you have to ask for more food where getting the food options from the kitchen. If you choose to stay here, it is a good idea to have a car. It is a bit of a walk to get to restaurants in the area. Parking is free at the hotel which is a bit of a luxury because most places charge you per day to park your car. One complaint I do have is the state of the carpets in the facility. There were absolutely filthy and could use a serious cleaning or find an alternative to having carpet. Other than that, I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Breakfast was extraordinary, great food delivered from the kitchen and a good, healthy buffet. We sometimes faced minor translation issues when ordering in English, but the staff was always friendly and helpful. If you want to have dinner in the town you have to walk about 15 mins and the way to the highway takes you roughly 15 minutes as well through Portimao, this is probably the only negative to mention. But we can really recommend the venue, we'd definitely come back!

Lovely spa and breakfast was excellent. The free workshops that they run on all kinds of holistic therapies was a big plus. The water circuit spa was included in our stay and was lovely to do every day after a day out and about.

Modern hotel with beautiful pool and spa

Fantastic hotel for relaxation. You feel refreshed after a stay here. The food served here is excellent, nutritious and beautifully presented . A 15 minute walk takes you to the beach or into Alvor.

The property is situated on top of a hill, offering a very nice view, which is definitely one of its highlights. Unfortunately, the facilities don’t live up to expectations. While the building appears modern at first glance, it is noticeably run down. The walls are dirty, and the carpets are in terrible condition with unpleasant brown stains. Our room was fairly clean, but it clearly needs refreshing. We noticed ripped pillows and requested replacements, but no one ever came to address it. The bathroom also left much to be desired, with dirty corners and some tiles that were not well maintained. The swimming pool, located on the top floor, does offer a great view. However, it is quite small with very limited seating. During our stay, people occupied the few available spots for a long time, so I never had the chance to properly relax there. The gym is also very small and equipped with only the basics, which was disappointing for a hotel of this category. Overall, the stay was okay but certainly not what you’d expect from a 5-star property. I would rate it more in the 2-3 star range, as there is a lot of work needed to bring it up to standard.

Beautiful Room, but Service and Food Fell Short

The hotel overall was alright, and considering the price, what we got was okay. The room itself was excellent – very spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, we expected more from a five-star hotel. Staff service was underwhelming and communication difficult at times due to limited English. Except Lucas, he was great. Food was the biggest disappointment. For a hotel with “Health and Wellness” in the name, we expected nourishing meals. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, but gluten-free options were poor. The bread was inedible, and the gluten-free dessert was just plastic-wrapped sugar pastries. Staff showed little knowledge about intolerances or gluten-free diets. The early checkout breakfast package was another letdown. The night before, reception noted my request for gluten-free bread, eggs, butter, and fruit, while my partner expected a standard meal. What we actually received was just two hard-boiled eggs, a pear, and a small bottle of water to share – far below five-star standard. Many reviews mention the glass bathroom walls with no privacy. This is true, but our suite had an extra enclosed toilet, which we appreciated. For standard rooms, however, this could be an issue, especially for new couples. Amenities were fine but unremarkable, and the décor felt uninspired compared to the promise of a vibrant wellness retreat. Overall, there was a lack of refinement and congruence between what the hotel advertises and what it delivers.

I recently stayed at Longevity in Alvor, and it was just what I needed. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and super cozy—the kind of place you can just sink into and truly relax. Waking up there felt like a treat, especially knowing breakfast was waiting! The breakfast deserves a special mention. It was fresh, healthy, and surprisingly varied. I’m always on the lookout for wholesome options, and they had everything from fresh juices and smoothies to dishes that tasted as good as they made me feel. It’s clear they put thought into creating meals that are both nutritious and delicious, which I really appreciated. Overall, Longevity has a peaceful vibe, and the staff make sure you feel taken care of without being over the top. It’s the kind of place I’d love to come back to when I need a real break. Thank you
