"Door to bathroom was broken. We were finally moved to another room but the room should never have been released by housekeeping initially. Original room faced major construction. I think hotel tried to get rid of the room because it was “ prepaid”. Our friends checked in at the same time and were given an upgraded room ( they didn’t prepay)"

"The Mayfair Townhouse is a jewel. I took the smallest room and it was adorable and very comfortable and not at all cramped. Staff could not have been nicer. Easy access to the highlights of London. Loved, loved, loved it!"

"I’ve stayed at this hotel quite a lot in the past, but I think they are lowering their standards lately. The fire alarm kept going off for quite some time late in the evening. I tried to get a drink from the bar and they wouldn’t serve me. I understand they don’t work open the bar all But when you disturbed the fire alarm, I thought it should be possible to at least get a drink To say this is a five star hotel they need to look at their policies"

"Great hotel, great value. Very modern, clean, comfortable. The only reason I gave 4 stars vs 5 is that there is a lot of noise from the street. We were up on level 5 and still heard noise from bars closing late night and then again early morning trash pickups. "

"Beautiful, comfortable and classic furnishings Great service. Very welcoming. Great central location to everything in London. We stayed at several comparable high end places on our trip and all had coffee machines in the room. The Ritz does not. A small but Important omission I believe. "
