"A convenient location, not too far for walking into town, but plenty of buses from the nearby stop. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, at the back of the house. I was surprised that breakfast was not included, but probably my fault for not reading the details carefully. However, I eat very little at breakfast and felt that £12.50 was rather too much for my requirements. "

"Quaint stay, friendly staff, family run business. There is construction outside but did not hear it at all at night. The rooms are around the corner from the main office, very close to train station. We stayed on the bottom floor and there was one bathroom to share with one other room stay. The bathroom was newly renovated with a very nice shower. The rooms themselves were a bit outdated, single beds, with a sink, and a window that opens to a cute overgrown garden. "The sheets and towels supplied were spotless, which is very important, although the public areas were a touch shabby. The help yourself breakfast was very good. Parking was very hit or miss, which could be tricky in a busy and unfamiliar city."

"Everything about our trip was lovely. Except the room we were given. Our room 17 located at the back of the building above the kitchen. The noise of the air con units from the kitchen started work about 4am. There was no air con in the room and it was extremely warm in there. We couldn’t open the windows because of the noise. Phylis Court is a lovely place to stay if you don’t have this type of room. The service is above and beyond the location is delightful and so near the town "

"Lovely stay! We got there late and the restaurant part of the bar downstairs was closing but our kind bed and breakfast owner asked them to wait a bit and feed us. The bar was fun and had a variety of British beers. Absolutely recommend it!"

There's a polish market right next door and bank which made it super easy to get stuff in a pinch. I wish the network was better because it was super laggy. The place was alright it was like a 90s blast from the past three big old tv that you can't stream to and the furniture but I mean for the price it was great to...

"Perfect location in Reading. Short walk to the town center, shopping, dining and the train station. The apartment was nice but was in need of some maintenance. Definitely above average compared to other locations at the same price."
