"We booked this property because of the space and amenities within it, thinking that it would be a good home base to go to Killarney and Dingle and the surrounding areas. What we didn't know is that the little town of Castlemaine has a fun life of it's very own and if you go to Griffin's (a 1-2 minute walk!) for dinner and move to the bar for drinks afterwards, you will have a fantastic time! "What a wonderful place inside and out. If you like to have privacy and a great view, this is the place. A very spacious house with great appliances, beds, a stock kitchen, and a loverly place to sit and enjoy the view. The home is within a 10 min. walk to a beach that you can go for a stroll. We really appreciated the black out curtains in the baby's room. The host was very attentive to our needs-supplied a crib, toys & high chair."

"My group of friends and I had a very nice stay at Acara. The condo was roomy for 3 couples. Everyone had a bathroom which was great. The location was ideal to walk to downtown for restaurants. I would recommend this to groups or families and I would definitely go there again! Thanks to Tony!"

"Beautiful home with amazing views! This home had everything needed for our party of four. The owners are the kindest people you will meet. We stayed for a week and we were quite sad to leave. A quiet area and a great place to renew yourself. We spent the week visiting historic sites, driving mountain passes, and even took a walk with alpacas!!"

"The location is beautiful and private and easy to find . Accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough ( apart from the pillows but everyone has different preferences) but felt a bit dark . It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . The water took a long time to heat for a bath … We walked on local footpath...

"We chose this house so we could visit Skellig Island. Sadly, the trip was cancelled due to stormy weather but we didn't mind too much as the house was such a pleasure to hunker down in! We used our downtime to catch up on showers, laundry, rest, and relaxation before resuming our tour around Ireland. It was a lovely house with plenty of room to spread out, watch Banshees of Inisherin, and eat take away from Dooley's in our PJs. "This place was excellent for our Ireland Golf trip. We had 8 golfers which included two of my son’s and two wives joined us for a total group of 10. The home was well situated for our drives to some of Ireland’s premier golf courses and our day trip to Killarney. The house is much larger than it appears in the photos particularly the two upstairs king en suite bedrooms. Sean was easy to communicate with and made the process easy. Much appreciated. John"

"Beautiful home with ample room for two families. We were greeted by the host who took the time to show us around and followed up with us to make sure all was going well. She provided us with milk, cream, coffee and tea which was much appreciated. It is newly remodeled, each room was lovely and well kept. There is outdoor furniture and the lawn rolls down to the sea. We would highly recommend."

"Everything was mostly clean, but using the water heater was an adjustment and neither of the toilets flushed correctly. That was quickly fixed by maintenance though. My only real complaint about the property was the noise level. It seems that these apartments are rented out to large groups of students who party and make an unbelievable amount of noise. Great amenities, not so great with the noise. "
