A well equipped property with beautiful views from every window. A comfortable space to enjoy catching up with family. If you like walking, it's the place to come.
Tucked away on the sea with a cozy old world atmosphere was the perfect location to celebrate a big birthday and relax. Wonderful views with big windows out and we swam from the back garden at high tide! Kitty was extremely helpful organising a bbq for us and very welcoming. I would highly suggest this house and it's perfect location right in the centre of Beara.
This property was perfect for us. We like to get away from the hassle of Christmas and recharge the batteries. It is quite remote so a car is essential and if you plan to stay for any lenght of time be aware that it is a distance to shops, etc. The house is well equipped, we didnt need for anything. Its clean, warm and cosy.....perfect

Great base to explore the majestic Beara peninsula, with added bonus of sea swimming from your back garden. Amazing location. Good kitchen, excellent hot water in the shower with heated floor. Excellent communication and friendly welcome on arrival. Be aware: TV has no channels, Dvd player won't read any disks, and no WiFi. But good mobile data reception. Loads to see and do in the area. Would happily go back.
Views are stunning. Cottage smells damp, and decor is dated, except for the new bathroom. Stairs are steep so care is needed when coming down at night to use the toilet.
For a self catering unit the kitchen is in desperate need of an upgrade, gas cooker has handle falling off and had to light it with matches as ignition broken. Coffee machine and white goods yellowed with age.
With some work the cottage could be stunning, but currently it’s tired and outdated and the open plan ladder like stairs would be hazardous for children.
The property is located tucked away in a quiet bay within a reasonable drive of the main sights on the Beara peninsula. There is a small shop in nearby Ardgoole a short drive away (10 mins). Our kids loved cycling up and down the lane and stopping at one of the jetties to throw stones and wading in the muddy banks beside the house near the water. We were greeted warmly by those in the neighhourhood. Our favourite excursion was a trip to Ahillies /Garanish beach - highly recommended. The house is rather dated and would benefit from modernisation. The bathroom is a delight. The only major disappointment was the oven does not work properly - it takes ages to cook anything and you end up with under or over cooked food. Not great when you're trying to save money by opting for self catering. We still enjoyed our time at the property and the price matched the conditions - prices are typically high for self catering in Ireland and you get what you pay for. Thank you for a wonderful last minute staycation in Kerry to ease the challenges of Covid.

Alles is gewoon uitgeleefd.

Lovely house in best possible position for sea & nature lovers. We swam & kayaked everyday. Good spot for exploring. House has everything you need. Thanks very much.
Thank you so much to Dag and Kitty for a wonderful stay.
We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and to be able to swim from the bottom of the garden every day was amazing.
We were blessed with great weather and so took full advantage of the outdoors. We we’re able to swim from the edge of the garden as well as kayak which we brought with us. A lovely short walk from the cottage allowed us to find another unspoilt swimming spot from a pebble beach. We explored the Peninsula along the beautiful winding country roads along and over the peninsula discovering more beaches and areas of interest. The cottage has everything you need to cook for a family. One thing it didn’t have was a BBQ which with the weather we had would have been a great addition. Would love to return next year.
We had such a wonderful time here for 2 weeks. We hiked, we took long walks right out from the front door. We swam in the tidal pool, swam in the lake Ardgroom, found 5 stone circle and had amazing sunsets. We had visits from the Great Blue Herons and Egrets along with Freda and Freddie the cats. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house is really comfortable. The new bathroom is beautiful.
The caretaker, Kitty, brought us DVD's to watch and checked in on us to make sure we ere comfortable and the owners, Dag and Bjorn, were very attentive and communicated very well.We look forward to staying again.
Wonderful views from a cottage which fell short of expectations
Unclear instructions from owner. Wrong numbers for reception agent
Cottage smelt of damp and felt a little grubby. Very tired furniture and bedding.
Only 3 dirty mugs for a 3 bedroom property. Ground floor bedroom ( one of peine reasons for booking this property) was uninhabitable
Unclear on booking about deposit and that electricity had to be paid on top of rental
Shower room was the only acceptable room for this money
Happy to discuss further details
Neu renoviertes Badezimmer.
Sehr nette Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort.
